Who do you think makes the best hair in SL?

Who do you think makes the best hair in SL? More specifically, not the kind that is made of tons of spiralled torus prims, as those are very pretty but are fps killers. So taking that into consideration, who is the hair genius around here?

They're all good, mostly, it just depends on the *style* of hair they make.

Lil One Salon is excellent for some crazy hairstyles as well as some extremely sexy looks (like the Pamela Bombshell).

Everyone swears by Lost Thereian.

And there are a lot of other people who make great styles -- Launa Fauna comes to mind for some neat additions, so does Lash Xevious for long styles.

It really depends on your style -- or your style at the moment.

HAHA well I would disagree as I don't even know where to begin but certainly have style ideas in my head. I just don't know how to do it.

I'm looking for new SHORT hair, but I want it to be *similar* to what I have now, just a bit more tidy. haha.. I'm not wanting a drastic change, just a trim. *grin* I'll check those places out too Lo! Thank you for the references! If anyone else has some, I'd love to hear them as well.

Lost, Zaige, Launa, Zyrra, Starley, HoseQueen, Torrid, Tena, Wuvme ... That's my mantra. Lots of hair texturers too.

Nope - I do, too.

But this whole thing - getting new hairstyles and shopping for new styles, that is something people on TSO begged for for ages, the idea of a beauty shop, ANY kind of beauty shop, where they could change their look at all. Here, it is so simple, and lots of fun for those who do like to change their looks and for those providing the looks. AND you can change your look a whole lot just within the SL-provided stuff.

I've got my same look I started with, and probably always will, at least until somebody can find me a normal-looking ponytail.

Zyrra Falcone and Hosequeen MacLean make the best hair ever!

I saw some new, braided hair by Hosequeen the other day (Clio was waering it) and it was really fantastic!

Just spend hours playing with prims placing them on your head and amusing the people around you with the funny looking shapes protruding from your head that look made of hair but don't look like hair.

I tried making hair... once. I'll never do it again.

I'm still a big fan of the original... WASHU! I love my side spikes and can't imagine my av without 'em.

There are many other talented hair makers as well... Launa, Lost, Hosey, Zyrra... but I guess I'm just a fan of my classic goofy look!

well.. Just went looking around at a lot of these designer's hair. WOW! Some really beautiful hair out there. Major talent!!! *claps*

I personally was looking for "non-prim" hair. Maybe I'll work on a few styles and put them up in my shop. No idea if there is a market out there for non-prim hair, but I don't want to even bother competing with the current creators of prim-hair. haha.. You guys are just too darn good for me!

For now, I'll stick with the same hair (and skin) I've had since my second day in SL. It suits me I think. hehe

PS: I did buy a ponytail thingy from Launa. I think it has a thousand prims in it! OMG! And it looked so tiny on the rack!!! That must be what you men have to go through with certain, err, attachments.

I'd say Lost due to that even though his stuff looks high prim it's not that bad, and using repeating shapes helps for lag.

I saw someone with hair full of spinning torus' and full textures, it was nice looking but zooming in on her general body made my FPS go from 1500 to 2.

I tried making hair in Poser, but they locked me in a rubber room shortly after.

If you want some tutorials on making hair, Google on "Poser" and "hair tutorial", etc. I'm not home or I'd post a couple of the links I used.

As for whether there is a market, I read that about half of SLers are female (like me). Speaking as one, I have to say -- if there are women buying, then there will ALWAYS be a market for hair styles. And clothes. And jewelry. And ...
