=================================
* Dynamic time window for teleport based on attachment count
* User can cancel teleport

Note: this isn't a flame or bitch to LL thread. It's to discuss the various changes to SL in this release.

After the forum mob nearly burned the place down whilst demanding more boring updates, the Lindens seem to have heeded the advice. Nearly every point release has been to mop up some bug or another. Of course, when 1.7 rolls around the usual crowd will be bitching and moaning about putting features before bugs and we'll get to endure a couple of days of such fun while some of the minor problems are sorted out.

Just curious, how was that a problem?

Sensual - could you go into more detail on this bug? I have seen something odd also but was not sure if I had something buried on my land that I could not find or what, so any detail you have would be helpful.

What happens is.. you have a plot with say1171 prim allotment, it says 790 used 381 available, and there is NOTHING there, you can even go into objects on land and nothing appears in the list, there are no prims being used but it still sucks up the allotment.. for whatever unknown reason.

I just bought another 512 meters and the previous land owner deleted all the Governor Linden grass weeds, but; my parcel still says 1 object Governor Linden.

*sigh*

The nVidia graphics bug wasn't fixed. It's been two weeks now since that got screwed up.

Hell, they never fixed the Gamma Correction for ATI cards either. I have to reset my desktop gamma through my ATI video card everytime before I log in if I have booted
otherwise, things look dark and deep colored.

Is it possible for them to run these tests in a parallel grid so that we do not have to wait? I don't mind the waiting, I am just considering options here. At least people can go about their business while LL is heavily testing and plus they don't have to worry about keeping users offline permanently till the tests are done.

To completely derail the thread even further: I had this problem several months ago, and it had liaisons stumped. I ended up splitting off a 16m plot and joining the two plots again. This forced a recalculation of the prim allotment and fixed the issue. Maybe it helps. :)

I had a similar more agessive problem. The plot read that there was more prims on that plot than the allocation will allow, and promptly started returning prims! I have had this happen on two different occasions, both times the number of prims on the plot was well below the allocation.

knowing how long's left on a TP will be very usful.. if your lagging big time, if its gonna b a slow tp, u can just relog to try fix it without waiting to be told tp failed...

I think the people on this thread (except for those driving it completely off topic), are all acting like mean little children. :)

This release seems to be "fixing" (hopefully) the abosolute number one thing that most of you have been complaining about for months, i.e - the "TP bug."

Folks have been yelling and complaining about this all over the place in a most unseemly fashion. Now the Lindens come up with a possible fix and all anyone can do is crap all over them about the "valuable time lost?" Nothing personal to any individual poster here, but...

Sheesh!

I think there should be a "Grampa Linden" to take some of you folks out to the woodshed for a little lesson in respect.

I am not sure what you are referring to, but I do love how people comment with out taking into consideration the possibilites....

I for one have worked hours with Lindens in regards to certain exploits and am on the phone with them constantly regarding bugs... but I guess since you cant read it on the forums, we all just sit back and bitch? :confused:

Downtime typically means server side changes as well as client side changes and I don't recall them ever (rarely?) publically documenting server side changes.

But I'll also beat on the tired drum that for a consumer product with the installed base they have, their QA is pretty weak.
