Did your discussion thread get FICed?

I apologize Jeska as I know your job of doing nothing all day but reading forum posts can get quite boring and is in need of some excitement, but I do believe this thread has everything to do with Land and the Economy. I don't believe this thread should have been moved. Also, This is not a personal attack on Anshe. This is an attack on Anshes business and business practices. I guess LL just overlooks the high and mighty rich and powerful people of SL.

Let me know when LL stops protecting the rich and starts caring about the rest of the SL residents. We all know that LL is the other half of our griefing by not playing by their own rules. You all set rules for us to follow, so enforce them! Don't exclude the Rich! they are not special.

The only rule I see enforced these days are your closings of the threads attacking "individuals"

I just not a big fan of forum alts and "dual-personality" players as there are few who have the ability to actually pull it off.

Most just use them as a sycophantic horde which skews discussion and gives an unfair advantage. If I am taking the trouble to argue with someone I want them to give me the respect I give them and keep it "one to one."

I would meet you in world, but I dont think we agree on anything at all, so there might not be a point to that.

You would make life much easier for both yourself and for people you write about if just research facts better before you post. Especially before post something negative about another person or business I think it is matter of fairness to get facts straight. Now that this thread is out of public spot light I can tell you this directly and you should think about it: both certain posts on this thread and the previous thread are just full of things presented as "fact" that are totally untrue or grossly misunderstood. Now I don't want assume there was any negative intent, so I just suggest you to be more thorough next time. There is always the option to actually talk to the person you want to post about and ask. This goes long way to avoid misunderstandings and saves you from loosing face in public by postings things that turn out to not be correct.

As for the "Chinese sweatshop": I live in Germany where I am married but have family in China. There is no big business or money or alien conspiracy behind ANSHECHUNG.COM. It is one small family business that has grown from 9,95$ for Basic account to what you see in SL now by investing insane amount of time and effort. Ok Anshe, now that you are happy that this thread is out of the "Public Spotlight" I will ask you some questions now that you have honored us with your presence.

WHY?

Why do you do what you do in SL? Why do you blatantly not play by the rules and get LL to bend them for you? Working your ass off is great, but you need a REAL LIFE before you have a second one!

Why do you continue to hinder anyone else who tries to enter the land market or business market. What is your ultimate plan in SL? Why can't you see all the ranting and raving in SL about you? Your not helping Anshe, your hurting! You are pissing off more people than I can count. Why cant you just back off a bit and be happy with what you have rather than try to dominate the game? There are no winners or losers in this game. there is no cinimatic sequence and ending credits when you beat SL because it is a community! there is no end, and no pot of gold at the end!

Why do you fight everyone? are you really that greedy that you have to have it all?
More important, do you spend any time with your husband? With the amount of time you spend in SL, how could you posibbly have time for a husband and a family? Can you possibly come up with an answer for all these questions?

Also, with how busy you always are, how do you find time to post in the forums, and find threads about you? I find it funny that as soon as this thread was moved, you posted to it. Did you tell LL to move the thread instead of closing it like they normally would do so you could post to it?

Sorry, but I can not see me do any of the things you suggest here. I work hard helping to grow this virtual space and providing service to my customers. With this I try earn some money to pay my time.

Maybe you see SL as some "game" for people to try to "dominate". Your forum title of "World Dictator" may or may not indicate that. But, quite frankly, I am not playing one game here and all this world domination stuff is meaningless to me. Maybe you are confusing SL with WW2O or Shadowbane or WoW.

How can you translate "I've done a lot of X and this is my first mistake" into "I should get special treatment"?

I do agree that its rather high-and-mighty attitude to compare herself to an American President. But even American Presidents aren't supposed to get special treatment. (Not that they don't.) So you are entitled to your opinion that she "throws her business influence in people's faces", but that doesn't give you the right to accuse her of having actually SAID something that she has NEVER said.

Geez already. I don't think she ever said "the only reason I ever do this is to help people because I am such a good person". She only ever says "I am a good person" in defense of herself against attacks. I've never seen her give that as her reason for playing SL.

Quite the opposite, she says all the time that the reason that she plays SL is to make money. Some people think that in and of itself is evil. If you think she's evil because she's out to make money, that's your opinion.

It's OK to dislike somebody. Its OK to argue whether land barons drive land prices up (which is a reasonable topic to argue.) But don't put your own words in other people's mouths.

Actually, Anshe has talked about helping the comunity on several occasionsthroughout threads.

I have no problem with people making money in the game. Its how you make the money that matters. If she wants to become the Microsoft of SL then she will be pelted by everyone like microsoft is. This game was never intended to be a place for people to make money. it was created as a place to create anything you want. Making some money is fine. But whe nyou try to get rich in RL by playing the game, well then it just lost everything it was created for. If you want to make money, there is a quicker way to make it. GET A RL JOB!

If Anshe applied even half of what she has done in SL to RL, she would have bought out Microsoft by now. I still never got my answer from her about what her ultimate goal in SL is. Is a simple question, and should get a simple answer.

Her answer can be such things as:

1) Be the greatest land baron
2) Make enough money to buy LL
3) Crush any and all competition forever
3) Retire from SL with a nice nestegg
4) Help out anyone who needs land or money
5) become a saint

Something like these. its not hard. C'mon Anshe, which is it?

All semantics aside, if people are having REAL money deposited in their bank accounts because of their activities in SL, and therefore, by law supposed to be paying REAL taxes to state and local governments, then they are indeed participating in a REAL job.

The IRS says its income, and that's good enough for me.

This thread started out as a thread about a thread about a person, and as usual, a thread about a locked thread usually ends up locked for the same reason as the original. So I'm typing quick while I still can.

It seems that the premise was that somebody asked for special treatment and got it in the form of having an unflattering thread closed.

Not to single you out (although you have done this more that others), I am truly amazed at some of the coments from other SL residents. A couple of the coments following that questionable article in the Herald were just ignorant. Some genius actually said that because she spoke Mandarin that of course she *must* be a real chinese person and *must* actually be in China??? WTF?

Are there no Chinese people in the States or something? It's not like Chinese culture hasn't been around in North America for a long long time.

Where I live, Asians are the *majority* and I can tell you that half of the stuff said in that article and on these forums about China, and the game, and that woman, and Anshe Chung are total crap.

Some of the things I have read only some white farmer in the middle of nowhere should believe IMO.

I was kinda thinking that myself... plus, the "sweatshops" refered to could only operate in games that Like UO and SWG were they use bots to mine for gold or ores and "sweatshop" workers act like body gards for said bots....

I was wondering if, now that a bit of a cool down period has passed, you could clarify a few things for me in a calm fashion. First of all, I'm quite familiar with the debates surrounding Anshe as she took on the land market as her field of interest. I encountered it when I entered the game and researched it to catch up on the details.

My inquiry has more to do with how you see her cashing out as being beneficial to the community at this point in time. Exactly who is that you are expecting would be buying this vast empire? Since you have retired, are you unaware that many others are following your lead and the land market is extremely slow these days? The land prices may indeed have been driven up but they sure as heck aren't up now and the people who were against them being driven are not buying now that they are low.

Since your wanting to bring this discussion round to focus on motivations, why the intensity of your interest here when you have cashed out and moved on?
