Didn't Robin's post make it sound like it was happening that day?? Have I just not looked hard enough, or has this not been done yet?
Just wondering, -Ghoti _____________________

They seem to be asembling them offshore to the east and then placing them on the grid in chunks. They already put in a bunch along the southern coast of the Japanase sims. If you look at the shape of the sims to the east in the shot below, you can see where they're going next (cool islands!). Curiously, none of the new void sims appear on the map unless you are in one of them. Then they all appear, including the ones to the east.

I was surprised by the amount of detail in the new void sims. Here's a height map of the terrain in the void sims below Japan (with a scale from 0 to 64 meters). The new terrain ranges in height from 0 to around 10 meters. That's not a lot of relief. But still, look at all the features, including the long submarine valley.

Hey, that's great! Think I'll go subbing soon. ![]() Cubey, have you ever taken a sub into Cottonwood? It seemed to me like it would be a cool place for a sub. Not a long ride I guess, but still. _____________________

WOWZERS!! They did fill in the large void! The island in the middle is massive, and so much water to play in.

Virtual reality is cool. Several of the new void sims in the lake to the east of the Tethys mountain range have snow on their bottoms, as you can see in this picture of Kara. Or maybe it's methane ice, what color is that?

Am I the last person to notice that they filled in the rest of the empty areas in the southeast with void water sims? Does anyone know how long they've been there?

I think Whitebottom Lake would be a good name for it. I think that would hit a little too close to home for some people. ![]() _____________________

![]() Etched in the bottom of Egan (not to be confused with Eagan). What do you think of Bensbottom Lake, Ingrid? ![]() _____________________

Will Ben's bottom be making an appearance in it? Actually it's all good either way. ![]() You know there's something very wrong about the title of this thread and what we're discussing right now. I take no responsibility for it. _____________________
