Void as in empty. You know those sections on the grid which you have to fly around? You'll be able to fly straight thru now. This was discussed in a thread last week which announced server replacements in the older sims on the grid. I'm guessing that this latest announcement reflects a decision to put the old sims out to void rather than to pasture.

Oh that would be great. Now if I wouldn't crash/lag out when I fly at high speeds.

I'll check when I get home from work tonight.. but I'm really hoping for one next to Gallinas. Why?

Because it pretty much insures that there will be one side of the sim that will never have anything up against it.

And that makes me happy happy happy.

Siggy.

Not to mention it will be nice to have lakefront property with the ability to navigate a boat without having to avoid built over waterways and falling off the edge of the world. Oh, and my personal favorites, those docks whose prims are based on private property but are pushed out over the public waterway to make a parcel seem larger than it really is.

Praise be to the Great Linden who has placed a void sim east of Slate. We shall celebrate in a fashion most respectful of it's PG status.

Great! More wide open spaces for boats and subs. Time for me to start working on a sailboat or something. :)

I guessed we didn't win the lucky 40 lottery, Brace. I can't find my ticket to check the numbers, though.

Would love to see this one filled in! I believe it's the largest inland void, though I might be wrong. Just imagine, all that water and no obsticles :D

My home is right on the edge of nothingness in Grant. I kind of like it that way. I suspect my performance will suffer somewhat if the void sim are added. However, it would really be cool to be able to launch a boat and just float around such a huge lake. It will take 28 sims, though.

For the record, I still don't see the new voids on the map. I only knew there was one next to Slate because I flew into it. As long as I was there, it showed on the map. Every time I vacated, it vanished from the map and turned back into a dark hole.

Flying in was the first thing I tried. A lot of nose bumping on the edge of the world tells me that they didn't have enough to make it to the southwest section of the grid. Oh well, I'll have to come up north and check out the lakes up there. Enjoy!

Anyone know if there are plans to put a void sim next to Kissling?

*crosses fingers*
