private sims kinda remind me of Cities in Flight by James Blish

the often strange and surreal nature of sl reminds me of china melville's perdido street station and any douglas adams book

and some of the new culture/socities/groups make me thing of watership down. the struggle to find a place also reminds me of watership

hmmm it reminds me of the Robert A. Heinlein universe in general, where the heros live less inhibited lives. RAH, best jknown for Stranger In A Strange Land, creating the waterbed and talking about spanking alot (all true), had strange ideas of a future time when people swam nude, had family groups where people changed partners without jealousy and men were in women's bodies and computers acted like people hehe!!
