Do-overs in a democracy are a bad, bad idea. Gotta wonder... What would Mr Issa (sp?) think if a do-over was called on the 2000 Presidential election? The whole thing is pointless, and theoretically could lead to YET ANOTHER RECALL. IMHO, the best possible outcome would be for Davis to step down, and let Bustamente become Governor. Short-circuit this half-assed, archaic recall. Any law which allows any fool with 3500 bucks and a bunch of signatures (from paid crackheads and winos) to take control of the 5th largest economy on the planet can't be good. Then again, if Larry Flynt wins, the Golden State will be the first state in the union with a State Dildo. |
