This proposal has just been added this afternoon. Perhaps it's an acceptable compromise for the opposing factions in the telehub/teleport anywhere debate.

This cannot help those who do not own the land. And the owners of the land might set it to where non-members/owners cannot set home to their area.

Prop 89 is a good deal

You cut down the 4 minutes or so it takes to travel 999 meters to your distination.

You do not have to worry about putting down 100 billion home markers infact my plan simply requires you to double click on the map and it will put you down with-in a meter of your distination. No markers needed.

instead of voting for that prop why not vote for prop 70. as long as SL is buggy why not make everyones crashes a little more interesting if not down right funny. prop 70 is a proposal to make the AV react to client crashes in world by playing a special customizeable crash gesture. so you could have your avatar maybe play a sound from the wizard of oz and yell "im melting!! im melting!!" while an animation makes your av melt into the ground when you crash.

You got my vote.

Getting where I need to get to in a relative hurry would not prevent me from exploring when I have the time to do so.

I love exploring, but I hate crashing into buildings, being ejected from parcels when flying to a destination, having to find alternative routes when a sim on my path is full because of an event, etc.

nope, don't want this. Personally I would like most of the telehubs to go away, and not be replaced with anything.

I've decided to not vote for any prop that someone tells me to vote for in the forums.

I've voted for this because it is the leader in the personal teleport pack of proposals. The restriction of only one place to teleport to is mind boggling. That the landless have no option at all does not make me feel lucky.
To have properties in many parts of the world, to experience different communities and tinker with differents terrains, is an ideal sl experience. The reality is that travel time and relogs when you just want to get someplace is annoying. At thes times, the frame of mind is not inclined to meet new people, see new places, or buy new things. At other times, the long route and the scenery and people encountered along the way is a welcome experience. Land dealers, take note: rather than being so very concerned about the telehub land prices, consider the nice little parcels scattered throughout the world that would make a neat getaway, a place to tinker, etc., if only it was easy to access them.
Retailers, I don't how you can stand dealing with commutes between your shops and home. Wasting time in traffic in a virtual world? I don't get it.

Yes, I do. I don't see the Lindens incorporating something that would likely eliminate the centralized location for commerce and social venues which the telehubs provide. During previous discussions on this issue, the idea was put forth to have access to a select number of favorite places. This was an idea that seemed desirable to most people. It doesn't eliminate the need for telehubs, remote areas are still maintained, and the personal teleport feature is extended to the landless.

In matters of group choices, it is my way to let others put forth their ideas and to provide the backup support needed to make things happen. But I find myself wishing that a teleport proposal had been put forward which considered the comments of the opposing faction and not been as widespread in scope. I really believe that a modifiable list of favorite places would be a proposal with widespread support and few detractors.
