I dont judge people by their longevity, but rather by their eloquence, intelligence, and skill.

Heh, I feel a bit odd since I joined about three days after beta ended -- I remember being peeved I missed all the celebration at the Governor's Mansion. At the same time, I don't feel qualified to wave a cane around -- go figure.

Nope, I think you got to be Beta member to be considered an Old-Timer in SL. Everyone else is just a NooB.

=D

I'd consider anyone that was around version 1.0 to be an old timer... coincidentally, that's when I was around. :D

I think the only important distinction is between someone who's committed to being a long term member of our community and someone who might not be. So perhaps a month, maybe two months, might be a good definition of someone who's an old timer.

Ok simply classify,

Closed Beta..anyone pre April 2003-Anchients...we created the Teleport Gates...hehe

Open Beta..anyone post April 2003...Betians, We tested the Teleport gates n found it and taxes lacking

Live Oldies..anyone after June 2003...First Travelers...we pickd up our bags and followed the Betians in to the new world.

The "CHANGE" anyone after 1.2....NOOBS....LL God had spoken and taxes were not right but neither were permissions or anything else that was forbidden fruit fun. So in the quest of lack of taxation the LL god introduced Land Auctions and therefore created Land Barrons.

J -- when I work it, that's when I get into trouble. I've learned that keeping my pants on is my best bet when in-world.
