If I recall correctly, Backstage was a nice sim for me to explore. It's very open, but beautiful. so is the sim connected to it. I can't recall the name right now though.

I remember that I found many many beautifully done islands when I was an exploring noob... sadly though, now most of them are gone... guess it's not really worth paying 200 beans a month for something if all you can do is hang out there... that's why most of the islands turn commercial :(

Amazon Nations

The island sims of Amazon Nations are Aretias, Hypatia and now Themiskyra.

Aretias is a general build area for the Amazon members.

Hypatia is devoted to nature, look for the large waterfall and beware of the cliffs, the rock is loose and frequent landslides have been known.

Themiskyra is under construction and continues the Amazon theme. Way way back in RL history Themiskyra was the home of the RL Amazons and is being re-built here.

Items of interest, fish.

Also adding the Game Dev sims to this list. There've been many good showings, and those of us that chose to have our games more open to the public can be found there.

Huns, I know you already came by our place. Feel free to see how the sim has progressed.

Since the contest this year isn't based on dwell, I don't think it hurts for me to say that. :)

I forgot to add Parrot Island in my previous post. It's a really lush, green, tropical island filled with birds and a bird sanctuary on the hill. Very realistically done. The jetskis are fun.

Neualtenburg was moved to an island Sim. Much is already back in place. :)
Yes! The entire city has been rebuilt in the last four days.

There are:
  1. all-new roads
  2. over 40 new multicolor and texture Fachwerks (homes)
  3. all-new city buildings including a Rathaus, Warenhaus, Kaufhaus, and Bank
  4. a new autumn theme with grass on the ground and hundreds of new trees (no more snow)
  5. Each street has a name and every structure has an address

I recommend teleporting to the Marktplatz, taking a walk East on Haney-Linden-Straße to see the new multistory city structures (Bank, Rathaus, Casino), turning North on Talenstraße, and then East on Sudanestraße to see our new dense neighborhood to the North of the city. From there, I would take a right and head South on Eugenestraße, hiking up the hill to connect with Kendrastraße. The view from the top of the hill is quite nice.

The city has been completely rebuilt. If you've been there before, it's worth seeing again. :)

Thanks to everyone who contributed. I now have an amazing list of places to look at. I'm new here, and looking for a place to call home that has nice rental apartments until I can afford to buy. :) So far Grigamo has been the best I've found. Any suggestions of other city like sims?

Check out Chase's Manhattan in Hawthorne. If you want to rent an apartment in the Empire State Building or elsewhere in Manhattan, contact Chase Rutherford (the Evil Landlady).

Port Cos, is still under construction and might not end up being open to the public, but it might, depending upon situations. Screenshots of the Isle attached.

I have to see a lot of things yet, btw these two are very nice sim islands:

Numbakulla is very atmosphered and originally designed. The design is perfect cause all the work seems coming from the same hand, while is from a team of builders.

Gipsy Moon has been build with love and came out great.

About city sims, I recently gave a look at Midnight City, cool atmosphere, that's something to see.
