This has nothing to do with the topic but i was thinking how tarded the: "911 security fee" is at our airports. Not for what the fee is spent on just the name. "911 security fee" Are we protecting against 911, are we protecting only on 911. It should be referred to as just "security fee".

blaze, let's put things into perspective. The land we now call Israel was named Palestine by clueless british people. There is no "palestinian" people. The Hebrews established a civilization there that lasted thousands of years, until the muslims went on a crazy expansionist jihad, conquering all of north africa, the middle east, and even the Iberian peninsula.
The fact that Portugal and Spain exist as countries today is solely because we spent 500 years driving those bastards back to their homeland. The land we now call Israel was, sadly, not so fortunate. I'm not going to say I agree with everything that happened. Israel, much like the US, is a nation lead by war-mongering xenophobe buffoons. The transition could have been handled much better, but they certainly have a valid claim to those lands. _____________________

I think there is a difference between something that happened 500 years and something that happen 60 years ago.
I think it needs to be said somewhere that what happened in 1947 is against international law. _____________________

Americans / Canadians that support Palestinians should really take a minute and think of what they are wishing for...
Should Mexicans commence a suicide bombing campaign to drive Americans from the lands taken through war? Should Native Americans begin to randomly kill non-natives in the US and Canada to recoup their lands? How about either taking over the Olympic Village and killing all American and Canadian athletes to protest? At least Mexicans and other Native Americans do have a legitimate and historical claim to the land, Palestinians don't. Palestians should go into the marketing business, they sure have done a hell of a job convicing people they are the victims. Yasser Arafat, one of the bloodiest murderers in history getting a Nobel peace prize... That is successful marketing! |

Again, there is something different between 500 years and 60 years ago.
That being said, we go to great pains to support the native indians in canada. _____________________

uh, yeah. I met one on the north side of Lake Superior. He seemed to think the government could have gone through a little more pain on his people's behalf.

We could do better, but we generally do enough so that they don't feel the need to blow themselves up in our cafes.
