From: Pendari Lorentz Had I not already left that game due to the boring high end content, I thought your highest level character was a 57? You can't do end game at 57. You haven't played WoW in like a year or more, there is a massive amount of new content, especially for end game that has been added, new zones, new instances, new gear, different honor system, and a plenty more new content coming. You should play with your fellow SLers in WoW. We have a lot of fun.

From: Eboni Khan If someone is recruiting for a GLBT guild on a RP or RP-PVP, server, I am reporting them becaause they are breaking the rules. That is utter bullshit. Who says people cannot RP gay Tauren love? Hehe. And dont give me that crap that there isnt sexuality built into WoW. There are are wedding rings and dresses in WoW, you can /flirt and /kiss etc. And in today's patch notes they talk about how love is in the air and get ready for a special Valentine's Day type world event. This is clearly an example of Blizzard saying hetrosexuality is okay but homosexuality in WoW isn't. Reporting someone for posting a guild recruitment message that says GLBT friendly is lame and you know it. In a perfect "WoW World" this wouldn't be an issue but we know that it is. WoW players have a 14 year old male, high school locker room mentality and for those who do NOT fit into that category, I completely understand wanting to guild with like minded people. Before we all started on Lightninghoof with the Feted Inner Horde, I had my character on Proudmore and am in the GLBT guild Stonewall Champions. It was nice to be in an environment where such language such as already mentioned in this thread was not tolerated. Where even though it is a "fantasy world" I can still talk like a human being and admit I like other men. On Lightninghoof I cannot in any way shape or form acknowledge I am gay because it could get me reprimanded from Blizzard. I wouldn't care less if anyone in Orgrimmar general chat said shit about me, I do my own thing. If you've read the realm forums you's see that I have earned respect from many people for my PvP abilities and I think it might even be a little fun to let them know they are getting their ass kicked by a gay guy. Huna - LVL 60 - Tauren Shaman - Rank: Champion (crosses fingers) - #1 on Lightninghoof in Alliance Honorable Kills.

From: Neehai Zapata This is true. My name in WoW is the same here, Neehai. And I quote, "Neehai is a noob."

I think it is disgusting and sad that Blizzard acted the way they did.

Well, Blizzard have grovelled slightly now - they were getting some appalling publicity... From: someone The uproar has prompted Blizzard to officially apologise to Ms Andrews. It said that her comments should not have produced a warning.
In an e-mail to Ms Andrews, Thor Biafore, senior manager of Blizzard's customer service, said: "Please accept our apologies for the way our staff characterized your conduct, and rest assured that your account will not be penalized in any way for this occurrence."
The 1,000 or so in-game administrators Blizzard uses to police Azeroth are also to get training to help them deal more sensitively with such issues. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4700754.stmOff to the re-education camps with them! Though I suspect "training" may consist of an email cced to everyone saying "don't threaten to ban people for saying they're GLBT friendly kthx".

Additionally, they added a separate guild recruitment channel in the patch on Tuesday.

From: ReallyRick Metropolitan On Lightninghoof I cannot in any way shape or form acknowledge I am gay because it could get me reprimanded from Blizzard. So calling someone a "homo pally" in Alterac Valeey was your way of staying in the closet and being socially acceptable? *golf clap*

From: Selador Cellardoor It made perfect sense to me. Whereas I still don't understand the following:- The Barrens is a big area in WoW. I have been in the barrens on several different servers and people have made tons of racist comments. I just /ignore and keep enjoying my game. It is not like they are the klan on my door step with a burning cross.

There must be a cultural difference between the EU and US servers because when playing warcraft I could discuss being whatever sexual orientation openly and suffered no consequence, harassment or even a negative comment. Even when standing talking openly in Orgimmar right between the bank and the auction house.
Peculiar,

Peculiar, This is the case on the server I play on, which is a US server.

I've never been reprimanded.

The "Cleft" has always ben very cruisy. Too bad all the hot twinks are on the Alliance side though. I am not into bears...err well in this case...bulls.
