Kevn, since you are unable to provide _any_ material backing up the definition of abiogenesis, and if asked, i'll be happy provide you with sources that do not include the last part of the definition you listed (which you made up), could you retract it and apologize for misstating something as a fact?

Abiogenesis (Greek a-bio-genesis, "non biological origins";) is, in its most general sense, the generation of life from non-living matter. Today the term is primarily used to refer to theories about the chemical origin of life, such as from a primordial sea, and most probably through a number of intermediate steps, such as non-living but self-replicating molecules (biopoiesis).

Well now you've supported our point. What about yours, the bullshit about a single organism from a single source?

Where did the bullshit go, Kevn? Your bunk about a single organism and single source? ANd what about the hole I punched in your argument via thermodynamics?

Or are you going to hold out for the hat trick?

Good boy :) You take your guiding medicine well :).

So you dragged the conversation regarding Abiogenesis into the theory of Universal Common Descent, which is completely unrelated.

First, why?

That may be true if you are in time and space. The problem is you can't conceive of existence not bound by time or space. You can't conceive of a plain where creatures exist beyond the realm we occupy. My assumption based on the information available is the creator/s aren't bound by the laws of physics. That would make your logic become illogical from the perspective of the other dimension.

Okay, my 1st post was the snarky and slightly insulting off-the-cuff remark. This one's the re-reading what you said and becoming actually offended post.

I can conceive of an exstence beyond time and space. I wouldn't be playing SL if I didn't think there could be a world where I could line-dance with a talking squirrel, a water nymph, and a Jawa with a lightsaber. There are more things in *my* heaven and earth than are drempt of in your philosophy.

And, yes, I'm one of the few things that can insult me is to be accused of having too little imagination.

Now, that being said, I don't believe I can make something true simply by believing in it. Your Absolute Truth does not trump mine, any more than mine trumps yours. I believe in an infinite number of universes being created every second by every decision, reaction, random chance, and idea that occurs. I also beleive in But that doesn't make it True.

So, yes...in your made-up space continuum, God works exactly as you say He does. Pity that's the only view you see.

Eeexcept you claimed it was.

Abiogenesis is the beginning of life theory that claims life came from non-living matter.

The theory of universal common descent is the theory that everything alive is related because of common ancestry.

No, /you/ confused the two theories by conflating them one with the other. You cited a Wiki entry regarding LUCA as evidence that "all life originated from one point, one life", which you conflated with abiogenesis.

You. Conflated. LUCA. With. Abiogenesis. Red. Handed. Now you're trying to claim you didn't. We call this "weaselling".

Exactly what Ulrika said - i had to ask you 3 times about it and put it in bold, then when you offered a definition that did not include the bold part, and were called on that, you have now denied that you said it.

are we going to have to send you to bed without supper, too?
