Every single night after work we watched Benson at 3:30. It turns out that, no matter what flavor of ice cream you get, if you eat it in a room with nothing but blue lightbulbs it always looks like a bowl full of cement.

Early one morning we sat on the porch watching the pink fog to the East. Enya blasted from the stereo in the living room at decibels approaching that of a jet engine. A friend of mine was rolling towards us down the block, wearing nothing but some red-striped bike shorts. Five minutes went by. Finally, agonizingly, he made it up to us and fell down on the grass.
"Guys," he said, "Never smoke weed and then try to rollerblade home."

We were evicted two weeks before the end of our lease. There was an orange traffic cone on the roof. During that summer I never did manage to perfect the dance moves to M.C. Hammer's "2 Legit 2 Quit."
