I am not confusing Creative with Xerox - I am talking about the iPod, not the MacOS.

The creative slim zen is a nice alternative to the overpriced, overhyped, overmarketed iPod line.

I don't understand the cultish behavior of your Xerox folks. Other people can make operating systems you know.

Maybe Apple will finally bring their prices down from the stratosphere too, but I doubt it.
I just purchased a 30" HD Cinema display for a Mac at work. It cost serious dough but we often look at CAT scans so need the screen realestate. I can't tell you how paranoid I am about earthquakes now. :D

hehe, it was really sad to see that company implode. I used to share an office with a guy who used Wavefront on an Indigo2 while I had a crappy 486 running 3ds for dos. For its day that thing was the shit. It's slow by today's standards but in 1993... drool.

I agree, although I was a bit put off by that model they just made that is an exact clone of an iPod down to the UI.

The strange part is that Ulrika is not employed in the medical field. :D

I didn't know Creative made one with the little wheel.

Since when does one have to be a doctor to look at pictures of their cats?

NICE! I've seen the graphic capabilities and agree it is a shame. I help keep four sparc10 vme's wheezing along to crunch *ahem* classified numbers. :D I absolutely love when the screensavers kick in set to fractal.

I'm not sure if they use wheels when they make it or not.

Well, it does require some kind of technical expertise to put a feline in a scanner without squishing it.

Biting was part of the original Xerox GUI.

Apparently it was! I found this game called "Tooth Protectors" where one saved teeth from bacteria. Those white squares at the bottom of the second screenshot are teeth. :)

Here's a very amusing link. It's a video using the audio of Microsoft's keynote speech at the 2006 CES with footage of Mac OS X's currently existing features. The Vista preview becomes a MacOS review. :D

http://maclive.net/sid/134

Motivated by the popularity of his first movie (above), the creator went on to make an substantially better movie (below). This one is filled with amusing images (my favorite is lil' Bill), subliminal MS digs, and closing text with a lingering date. :D

http://maclive.net/sid/135

Enjoy.

I'm just wondering what their idea with the naming conventions is (Vista??? ).

Let me know when Microsoft Siesta comes out and I might think about switching over from Windows 2K

Vista means view, so Windows is a "view" into your computer.

It was a rhetorical comment. People say "look at that vista" even less than people say "I'm going to take a siesta." It's a little odd.
