Vice President Dick Cheney has refused to accept the apology of the man he gunned down in cold blood, Harry Whittington. Whittington apologized for all the trouble he has caused Cheney after Cheney shot the elderly man directly in the face, neck, and heart. Cheney thus far, has not accepted the apology.

though no fan of the VP I have serious problems giving credibility to any article or anyone who uses 'gunned down in cold blood' to describe a accidental shooting. No one dragged this guy into the woods to off him and if Dick Cheney wanted him gunned down I doubt he needs to soil his hands in the process.

just saying that "gunned down in cold blood" is an extreme association for a shooting. the phrase normally connotates murders extreme acts of violence, disputes. It usually isnt used in cases where morons decided to have a liquid lunch and go bird hunting.
