Some Astute Observations

There are a few things I've noticed in Second Life, and I don't like them one bit. So I would like to take this moment to make some astute observations and comparisons.

1. Disguising users with diciplinary problems as ordinary residents. The Lindens CURRENTLY have a policy of disguising users with significant diciplinary problems such that they look just like YOU or ME! You could be standing next to a virtual sociopath RIGHT NOW and you wouldn't even know it.

I'm sure I don't have to tell you folks that this situation is identical to the Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

2. The shunning of Invect Hasp. I oppose shunning of users from groups on the basis of their political affiliation. I find this injustice comparable to the handywork of the Flying Monkeys in Wizard of Oz.

3. The Lawless Trial against Impeach Bush Guy. I don't like his signs any more than you guys. But the mob mentality crying out for his conviction when he didn't break any specific rules is EXACTLY like the murder of Bambi's mom.

4. Resident Forum Moderators. Having residents moderate the forums ... what's that you say? YES! CORRECT! It's EXACTLY like the the murder of that Ewok at the hands of Imperial forces during the battle on the forest moon of Endor!

5. The Lack of Furry Lindens. This is pretty much like the big hammer things in Pink Floyd The Wall.

Aimee's pathetic attempts to hijack our regularly scheduled drama are EXACTLY like the headbanging of the foxes inside my mind!

I am just glad that someone is finally bringing up these SERIOUS issues.
I am sick and tired of all this forum sillyness and diversion of people's valuable time from the stuff that really matters.

This is so much like the time when Steve Martin put that arrow through his head.
But I couldn't find a picture of that so all I got is this Picture of Paul Reubens as "the Spleen"

/me looks around and sees NO ONE standing by him... wonders if virtual sociopaths are privy to new doubleplusungood invisibility script...

I object. The only insects I shun are the kind that sting, or bite, or eat people's houses... what? Oh, it's "Invect," not "insect"?

Never mind.

3. The Lawless Trial against Impeach Bush Guy. I don't like his signs any more than you guys. But the mob mentality crying out for his conviction when he didn't break any specific rules is EXACTLY like the murder of Bambi's mom.

This is utterly preposterous. Bambi's mother was shot and killed by hunters, who then were fined a large amount of money because it was illegal to kill does in that state. We'd only LIKE to shoot and kill the IBS guy, but all we can do is use push weapons to knock him around, and if we do that, we'll get AR'ed.

Flutterby girl es muy loco. The murder of the Ewok was more similar to the time that Christopher Robin raped and killed Roo in the unreleased video, "Disney Presents Winnie The Pooh and the Very Bad Touch," and its sequel, "Christopher Robin Behind Bars: Fresh Meat." Having resi moderators will be more like the inmates taking over the asylum.

5. The Lack of Furry Lindens. This is pretty much like the big hammer things in Pink Floyd The Wall.

Now THAT I agree with wholeheartedly. Except it's more like big monkey wrenches. With real monkeys. Except that then there WOULD be furries, instead of none.

I confess, I was rooting for the evil empire through all six movies. So ... yes.

Frankly, the Ewoks were counter-revolutionaries. And can you imagine a galaxy run by the Rebel Alliance - reactionary monarchists, heavily influenced by fundamentalist religious fanatics?

You realise that on most SL avatars, a "full-length" ewok coat would be like a bollero...

can i get a clarification?

is posting upskirts of avatars no longer a mysoginistic objectification of women perpatrated in the guise of virtual world art installation and also no longer indignifying to the players involved?

is SL age play a harmless diversion and enjoyable spectator sport?

are deragotory depictions of racial minorities funny now because it's only an av?

please help me, i'm confused. someone tell me how to feel about these things because i haven't yet earned the right to think for myself.
