my whole point is that we all are, supahstah, and a 'who's good' thread means you're saying that other people are less good. I'll punch your ticket anytime, sister.

I actually have never thought of anyone as a superstar. I don't get excited or nervous at the thought of meeting celebs any more than I do at the thought of meeting the guy who bags my groceries.

There are people that I would love to meet for the simple fact that I think they are very intelligent. There are people in SL that I would like to "formally" meet just because of something or another they have said on the forums.

The reason I posted asking about SLebrities is because I honestly do not know, and I have to have some idea of who to ask to be in this auction. I would bid on Prokofy just bc I enjoy talking to him, but I know that Prokofy offends a lot of people. So is he a "SLebrity" or not? (btw Taco, I just added you to my Slebrity list :P)

Anyway, I better stop hijacking Rose's thread or she might run me over. :D

I guess that is why I don't have one, because even though I can spell it, I made a typo in my post.

The polite thing would have been, after asking her and getting that response, to grab her phone and throw it in the street and ask "How about NOW!?!"

So sad, such a beautiful car and yet obviously unable to buy an ounce of class. *sigh*

These are very sad times to be an American but where is the rage among the citizenry? Where are the flag wavers who so laud the freedoms symbolized by a flag and written by quill pens in our constitution? Why are we not rallying in the streets against this sort of attrocity? Why because we are gluttonous lazy bastards who say it won't happen to me so who cares. --Ishtar Pasteur

The rudeness and just plain lack of common courtesy these days can drive just about anyone to do anything anymore. It really depends on how much has been laid on someones shoulders as to how much they can handle. We as people are just expected to take the discourteousness of the world and shrug it off like it's nothing and go on our merry ways. Unfortunately, the only thing that would have resulted in her actually running into 'Miss I have a Mercedes and a cellphone and I can sit in my car and make you wait behind me until I am ready to pump my gas' would be a hefty repair bill and more than likely a lawsuit...

Your right - particularly now that days later I am looking at what I wrote and how stressed I was... Holy cow!

I'm all moved now, we have power restored, our commute is still bad but not the nightmare it was, and I'm back to my old "laid back" self, life is good, LOL.

Glad I didn't assault the girl and wind up in jail and make life even more complicated for hubby and myself - but it sort of scares me how close I came to doing that.

Maybe I need one of those little blow up punching bags or something. :p

You know that might be a good scripted SL thingie - a funnie looking PRIM Man/Woman you can REZ that you give a name to (like "Boss" or "Stupid Customer", "Rude Asshat";) with a weapon so that you can knock it all over the sim you are in? :D

Road Rage is just that....'RAGE'!! Where normal people do crazy shit.

Once...years ago, I wanted to 'smash into' a couple of young gals who cut in front of me and then laughed their asses off. I'm a pretty mellow driver and could care less if I arrive at my destination 3 minutes sooner. But I will always remember that time 'cuz that was the one time I damn near followed someone home and could have potentially done something stupid enuf to get myself in BIG trouble...hehe.

Don't worry, that girl won't live long anyhow.

I have been confronted with road rage twice. (For some reason I, myself, am completely immune to the phenomenon. Though I might very well get gasoline pump rage in Rose's situation, lol.)

The first time was when I opened my car door up and it hit (well, barely tapped) the car next to me. The woman who owned it was standing behind it, and she came up to me and you should have HEARD what all she said to me!

I kept firmly repeating, "I'm sorry," and "I'm very sorry," like a tape recorder or something, and I guess it eventually got through to her. Anyway, she backed off and I didn't get beaten up, so I guess it was a good day for me!

The other time this lady tried to turn left from a lane that didn't exist to my right, in front of me. In other words, she sped past me, then tried to turn left in front of me, though the parkway was only intended for one car, really.

I slammed on the brakes and missed hitting her car by about an inch. I had both girls with me, who were only about 12 and 14 then. The lady got out of her car, looked at hers, and came toward me, so I got out of mine, though I knew we hadn't touched cars. I thought she was going to ask if we were okay! But instead she reamed me out. I just kept pointing out that the cars had not touched. Later, my older daughter explained to me that she probably felt guilty and scared by what had almost happened, and that was what she was taking out on me.

Last story, this one the opposite: I was at the library, in my soccer mom van, backing out. The person behind me also started to back out, apparently after I had looked, and we DID touch metal. Little kee-rash.

So I pulled back in, and got out of my car to see what damage had been done. Coupla scratches on my fender. Walked over to the other car. He was still in it! Turned out to be a teenager or in his early twenties, and he was scared of ME! haha I told him I just had a scratch or two, and it was no big deal, no need to call insurance or anything; my van had plenty of little marks on it already.

His car, I reported to him, seemed to have the same thing, but a little worse. He was acting so relieved! He said yeah, no need for insurance, my car has seen worse, haha. Maybe he was worried about one more thing on his insurance record or something, or was thinking I would be like those ladies I described above!

So I just said, ok, then, let's just try this again. You go first this time. :)

Rose, at least you didn't do what my sister did once. A very erratic driver cut right in front of her on the freeway, nearly causing an accident. Then he sped away... or tried to. My sister was so angry that she lost it and followed the guy home. She pulled up behind him when he arrived at his house, jumped out of her car and proceeded to read him the riot act. She said he started backing up, carefully, until he reached his front door, then yelled, "Lady, you're crazy!" before ducking into his house. She was horrified that she actually did this.... she's normally a very calm and rational person, but she had been under a great deal of stress at the time.

You're not alone. The best people in the world can have those moments.
