Fascinating.

Start here or try this one. It uses images found on search engines so enter a phrase for something specific enough that you'll recognize the images (like "Second Life";).

Here's one of the more recognizable images, that appears briefly when searching for "Neualtenburg".

I don't get it, or understand how it works.

I put in "country cottage" and got something very nice. Wish I could have copied it.

Then I put in "Christmas" and got something not pretty. Then I put in "country cottage" again, and got something totally different from the first time, not pretty and not relevant.

This is reaaally beautiful. Appeals to me greatly! Nice find, Ulrika! :)

Kinda reminds me of one of my ol' screensavers, After Dark. Ahhh... not the Flying Toasters, but some of the more "chaotic art" modules.

Hmmm... some of these might make for really nice textures uploaded inworld.

Yeah, it's really cool! I like sitting there and watching as the picture develops, though I haven't gotten anything as clear as Ulrika's pic of N-berg.

[left]I bet we could get some schweet results looking for specific iconography and logos. Things that won't be too blurry in the first place.

I'd guess it pulls the images through Google, the end results are generated using Clever Maths(tm). :p

You can get the pic using screen crapture ("Prt Scr" key on PC, "Grab" app on Macs).

It's a Java applet, so you can't simply right-click and save the images. I used the screen capture function afforded by Paint Shop Pro.

It appears to be taking images saved in an image database and applying various effects to them.

My RL name is the same as that of a well-known, deceased American poet; when I entered it, I saw several images that were based on a widely circulated photograph of him.

These two images were generated by the term "passionate sex."

Quite beautiful in their own way.

I don't play games much, but one of the few games I played looks like Game 7. Vampire The Masquerade, Bloodlines.

Ooh, are we playing name the games?

Okay, here's my 'guesses'...

1. Final Fantasy (8?)
2. Metroid
3. One of the Katamaris

Dunno about the others. 4 reminds me of Earthbound or Paperboy and 6 looks well familliar (Fallout maybe...?) but 5 and 7 have got me stumped.

I'll let a few more people guess (if they wanna) and i'll tell the answers :)

In the meantime here's two more, just to stay on topic. And I do play games enough that I should dream about them, except for the not dreaming at all thing.

Are these all the same game? All I can tell is it's an RPG. :)

1 looks like Final Fantasy 4 or some other squaresoft SNES rpg...

And yah, 3 looks like a katamari game. Stumped on the rest of them.

I admit its kinda cool, but I can't help feeling they got the name wrong.. It seems like it should be called "Drug Enduced Visions" or something some such.. I don't know about you, but my dreams sure as hell aren't like that!
