It's the hottest day in Britain since 1911, all our windows are open to catch what little breeze there is AND NEXTDOOR THE BLOODY BUILDERS ARE USING NO LESS THAN 4 EXTREMELY LOUD, SMELLY AND DUSTY INDUSTRIAL MACHINES !!!!!

My house is full of brick dust and deisel fumes ! I WANT TO SCREAM !!!

Officially records havn't been quite broken yet at least I think so, but my Mother rang me earlier, she lives in an area of the UK called the New Forest and it's 43C in her garden ! She assured me her thermometer isn't broken

My thermometer in our studio here ( with 2 big fans running ) shows 34 and that's inside the house.

And those buggers are STILL playing with their diggers and circular saws...

They're actually nice men, I just want them GONE atm, anyone got a spare teleporter ?

There had to be one I guess. Actually I love the heat, just hate the noise and the dust from crazy overuse of machinery !

Fans look nice... I have some at my store in Verloren.-)) BUT what you need are air cooling systems.-))) And why not go out to the poor men and offer them cold drinks and cakes...

Heh, try getting to work on time when you have to leave an hour or two early due to the constant construction that is known as Pennsylvania Highways- and still show up late.

10 miles of single lanes in both directions, road cones as far as the eye can see....

Gotta feel bad for the guys doing this work during heat waves like this. I'd make 'em work at night.

It's nearly midnight, a nice breeze is blowing through my studio with all the windows wide open, and 100 times more important to me .... it's lovely and peaceful except for the noise of my typing

Oh god, don't I know it. I'm british too, but I'm going to the US soon, and according to my friend who lives there, it's super hot there too. It's unnatural, this heat.

Ehh the humidity's actually low here only 35% but it's still 93 at 7:38 pm EST. Nothing like when I lived in the Tennessee River Valley and the humidity stayed stayed at 75%+ during the summer.

Well we do have three degrees of hot here....hot....f*&^in hot and too hot to f*^%

I have similar feelings about leaf blowers and lawn mowers. Push mowers don't take any more effort really, unless you are comparing with a riding mower on a golf course. And leaf blowers just put stuff in my eyes while blowing particulates into the air.

Now ya'll know us hillbillies aren't lazy it's just too hot and humid to move. It's why we take things sloooow here in the South. We have days that get so humid that perspiration hovers
just under the skin not quite breaking the surface.

Do people just not notice noise pollution ? Is this why it doesn't bother most people and the rest of us have to put up with so much of it?

I read it, however I just realize that houses don't build themselves quietly

Precisely my point I think. You don't care. Most people don't and the rest of us who do have to put up with a form of pollution that is incredibly stressful.

I actually do care, however I realize construction is only a temporary problem. Just tough it out till the house is built and then you will have your quiet, peaceful atmosphere.
