While this thread remains in the off topic forum, I reserve my right to keep it firmly off topic by putting the Resmods on warning that I have brought into play my pomposity detector. Some are already way into the red area...
Any Resmod scoring 95% or above for pomposity, condescension and general holier-than-thouness WILL be taken to a place of my choosing and pelted with Pie.
Or...not Cali

From: Cybin Monde Lecktor, correct me if i'm wrong.. but, it appears to me that yes, your initial post was an On Topic commentary (i.e., meta-discussion) about what is "allowed" to be discussed in the General forum.
the commentary following the original post was all basically Off Topic and appeared to be heading firmly in that direction. with that said, there have been countless times when a thread has wavered off topic and thereafter corrected its path back to an on topic discussion.
it appears as if this thread could be headed towards an on topic conversdation, if it does acheive such.. i would be inclined to move it back to General. i only ask that if that happens, everyone please repect where it resides and try to stay on topic at that point. Holy Hell, man! If it gets moved, ya gotta just leave it. No more thread yo-yoing. Save us, please!

From: Gabe Lippmann Holy Hell, man! If it gets moved, ya gotta just leave it. No more thread yo-yoing. Save us, please! Agreed, playing thread tug of war is just bizarre. If you move it, leave it. Where a thread ends up is not nearly as important as the reason it was moved - that is where the real drama is.

If my reason for moving this post to off-topic was not as obvious as I thought it was, I will explain further. A random collection of on-topic-related words with no other apparent meaning thrown into a post does not make it on-topic. And like Cybn said, the following posts focused on the off-topic words.
If you think I or any ResMod is behaving inappropriatly or misusing their powers, the correct course of action is to send a complaint to abuse@lindenlab.com.

Yes, but you could have told us to get on topic or it would be moved to off topic, BEFORE you moved it.

I've taken a look and this thread is indeed off-topic. I would also emphasize that hostility towards other Residents of Second Life, including ResMods, is highly discouraged. Please focus on constructive conversation that augments, not diminishes us, but the Off-Topic forum can never have too much pie.

From: Siggy Romulus Was a nice attempt Leck.. but it lacked a certain something... I would have ordered them thus: Prim Taxes, TP Fees, Land for Landless, Anarchy, Prim Whorders, Private Sims, Burning Life, Invisiprims.... Land for Landless, Camping, Dwell, Tribal drums and Cartel Rants Forum, Hootchie Hair, Free 4 thousand meters square,.... I didn't start the drama... it's been firmly rooted since the world was booted. I didn't start the drama...and so I'm keeping quiet while the fucktards riot.. Badger and Bananaphone, Welcome area Ahern Live help, Mentors...FIC attentions whores Da Boom, Z-Ohmygod, Nexus Prime and Tax Revolts... Event support, the SG, Gestures, Primtionary... Government - fuck why? Animations, Pecan Pie Transylvania, Airguides, Girls with last name Suicide.... Resmods, Prim cocks, Permission fuck ups.. Goreans, Heaven and Hell... Cannabis Cathedral... I didn't start the drama... it's been firmly rooted since the world was booted.. I didn't start the drama....But I'll keep acting stupid till the Lindens nuke it... Randy Jackson: For me, it was just all right, dawg. You need to really bring it next week, man. Paula Abdul: Siggy, you know I think you're amazing. But that wasn't your best. Simon Cowell: In one simple word, that was excruciating. It was horrible, simply horrible. P2

How hard is it really to post a message asking to get back on topic? This thread could have been very much on-topic had it been given a small nudge, but it didn't get that consideration. It seems as though a LOT of threads have been moved at lightning fast speed lately, some multiple times. I didn't really have an opinion about the resmods either way before, but I'm starting to have a negative opinion about them now.

Are people really arguing about where to put a thread started by a post containing a bunch of random SL-related words, some of which (as topics) have there own dedicated threads? I guess since DISCUSS was at the end, that made it ok. But, wait maybe that was just one of the words. It wasn't highlighted as big as PIE or RESMODS, though. Crap, I'm confused. What was the topic again?

And we all know dinosaurs ended up chickens, because it was designed that way. Is this on topic? I don't know for sure.

The topic, Gabe, since everyone seems to be afraid to name it explicitly, is what some people are viewing as heavy handed ResMod action by Elle in other threads. This thread is likely an obfuscated attempt at making that statement without incurring the wrath of the forum gods.

Didn't really care about resmods one way or the other, but this heavy handed moderation is starting to sway my opinion toward the negative.

This thread is likely an obfuscated attempt at making that statement without incurring the wrath of the forum gods. You may critizie me openly, so long as you do so without making personal attacks and do it "in the right place", which now happens to be the new ResMod forum, and stay otherwise within the forum guidelines. Obfusification, IMO, is a poor way to go about it. But again, if you seriously think I'm being abusive, you need to go through the Lindens.

I did not mean to imply that you, Introvert, were attacking me, which you are not.

Nudges tend to be given when a thread that started out clearly on-topic--and often have a bulk of constructive discussion--begins to derail. Context is important, and this thread didn't exhibit that. Historically, it is rare that a thread gets moved from Off-Topic to General, although it's possible. I'd like to see more.

Well this thread is clearly now talking about resmods and some dissatisfaction with the resmod program. Which was one of the original topics in the original post.
