Lecktor, correct me if i'm wrong.. but, it appears to me that yes, your initial post was an On Topic commentary (i.e., meta-discussion) about what is "allowed" to be discussed in the General forum.

the commentary following the original post was all basically Off Topic and appeared to be heading firmly in that direction. with that said, there have been countless times when a thread has wavered off topic and thereafter corrected its path back to an on topic discussion.

it appears as if this thread could be headed towards an on topic conversdation, if it does acheive such.. i would be inclined to move it back to General. i only ask that if that happens, everyone please repect where it resides and try to stay on topic at that point.
