From: Nolan Nash It's good to know that you're actually not above engaging in unpleasantry yourself, while pointing fingers at others. Rich! I love this response, which typifies the kind of thing one sees so often in the forums. 1. Poster A gets up the nose of Poster B 2. Every time Poster A posts something, Poster B jumps in with an unpleasant put down or insult. 3. Poster C remonstrates with Poster B 4. Poster B then complains that Poster C is being a hypocrite, because they are doing the same thing. Another variant is 3. Poster A finally cracks and lashes out. 4. Poster B uses this as a justification for further attacks. Oh, I forgot, you put me on mute, Nolan. Oh well, let it stand; perhaps other people will read it.

From: Weedy Herbst Correct.
This and two other threads which the OP are involved with, will undoubtedly be locked before days end. Any bets on the "excessive trolling" rule? Oh yes, that reminds me of another variant of the above. Poster A's thread becomes bogged down in people calling them names and generally being unpleasant The thread is locked. This happens to several threads. Poster B complains about Poster A that 'their threads are always getting locked.'

Poster B complains about Poster A that 'their threads are always getting locked.' That reminds me of a third variant: Poster C never holds Poster A accountable for anything that they ever do, and just blames Poster B, for some inexplicable reason.

Well, Poster C is aware that all of us make mistakes from time to time, and all of us say things that perhaps might be well left unsaid. But it seems to me that only certain people are taken to task on this, and it also seems that that the punishment for their 'crime' is continuous and unceasing. Best, Poster C

I do hope you are not suggesting that Nolan and I attempt to breed. Mind you, I have to admit having a soft spot for that Poster Q. If only she didn't have that habit of clipping her toenails into the teapot.

Best, Poster C You know it's a funny thing there, poster C. Yeah, it does seem to be a cycle, and certain people are especially adept at attracting that type of ire, and certain people are more than willing to taunt them at any opportunity. I am not sure exactly what the root cause of it is. However, one thing that I am certain of is that the original poster plays a huge part in it. They actively seek it whether you realize it or not. It doesn't make the rest of it alright, everyone is individually responsible. However, when you examine the nature of the original posts, and how frequently they partake in behavior that is negatively reinforced, it can only lead to the conclusion that somehow they thrive on it.
