HERE is the place for all my We Hate Coco Fan Club to gather for your Coco bashing.

Get out of my serious discussion about the advances in Equal Opportunity in the General Forum - in which I'm trying to give the Lindens some good feedback on these advances which have gone largely unremarked on, and discussing how we can make it even better,

and come HERE instead, those of you who apparently sit at the forums 24/7 to find a Coco post to pounce on as an opportunity for saying all about how you hate Coco.

You are grandstanding and trying to take credit for things you have no way of knowing whether or not you impacted, or whether or not they were already in the pipeline. It's self-aggrandizing gooberism. Spare us the claims of altruistic "good feedback" claim. You know, and so do others and myself, exactly what you are doing. You are attempting to further an agenda that you have been promoting since you came to SL - that there is "injustice" here. If you can claim that you are making progress, then you can claim that the conditions you claim exist do exist. Most of us weren't born yesterday, and you'd do well to remember that. I know you think you're so much wiser and wordly because of your age and professed RL accomplishments, but really Coco, you're like a bay window.

P.S. You don't get to order us out of a thread that you invited response to by virtue of posting it in the SL public square.

Don't like it? Tough beans. I WILL respond within the bounds of the ToS and there isn't a damned thing you can do about it. If you don't want anything but "Oh Coco, you are SO right!", or "You're our hero Coco" replies, get a blog and shut the comments off.

Thank you for coming into this thread for the discussion on my personal motivations, personality, etc.

This is indeed the correct place for it, and anyone who doesn't go ahead and drag it in here I would consider a coward.

Now, let's consider your criticisms regarding my personal motivations:

Why, Nolan? Why on earth would I be doing that? Why would I come into an environment with some sort of pre-set expectation of finding injustice, then making up injustice, then making up some sort of campaign about it?

If that were true, one would assume I do that all the time. In other games. Or anywhere!

Why would I arrive in SL with that agenda?

I didn't. Maybe a whole lot simpler explanation would be I arrived in SL, saw that the opportunities weren't available to everyone, and squawked about them. Asked for them. Along with others asking for them.

That's not only a simpler explanation; it's also a TRUE one.

We squawked - the Lindens listened - they fixed it. Everybody is happier, and everybody is better off.

It's just that simple.

I know I helped bring that about. So did others. I'm happy about it! You may not be. I figure it was all probably just a sort of growing pains thing - what used to work in a small beta community just was no longer working. So they changed it! They fixed it! That is a GOOD thing!

That we CAN bring these things about is one of the best things about SL. You remember TSO - it didn't matter what you said. Here, they listen, and they fix things. Moreover, despite the protests of people on the forums when I asked for these things, that we didn't NEED them, the Lindens obviously must have agreed, because they have instituted them.

Those conditions I "claimed" existed DID exist. Those conditions don't exist now. That is a good thing. I can't believe more people didn't notice it, or appeared not to notice it. Since it has been one of my main concerns since I arrived here, naturally, I noticed it. I've been thinking for some weeks now about making that post to recap these advances.

Most of my concerns regarding equal opportunity have been addressed. These changes deserve applause. If there are major equality concerns that haven't been addressed, I'd like to know what they are. (I know there are minor ones) Hence that thread.

Seems to me that you - and others - just don't like that this has been a major concern of mine. I say, you don't get to decide for me what my concerns should be.

Your constant claims, even recently, that favoritism is rampant in SL belie your supposed reason for posting this. So do your repeated attempts to malign the developers list. It's funny how you've tried repeatedly to imply that it was some sort of tainted FIC list, yet now you claim that it's some sort of great accomplishment brought about by your sniveling.

Why would you do this? I answered that already, so you can claim that there was a huge issue in the first place. When one observe people and their tactics for months on end, one may start to see patterns. Not to mention, Prokofy used this EXACT same tactic a few months back. Tried to claim because of convenient chronology that certain hand-picked changes were the direct result of his non-stop complaining.

Don't imply that I can't speak for what I feel I see. You speak to people's motives ALL THE DAMNED TIME. Claiming they are driven by greed and a hunger for power, by sucking up to the Lindens. So stow it Flo, and take a long hard look in the mirror.

I am done here, I believe that this is just another arm of your agenda, and agenda for which you are now carrying the torch for since your beloved "brilliant" griefer friend was banned. You won't change my mind, so you may as well stop trying to convince me otherwise. I will be here to counter this crap at every turn, for the duration of SL's lifespan, so get used to it.

(And this isn't really aimed at you Nolan, if I used it on everyone I thought it worked with in here there would be chameleons all over the place.)

I want to get it EXPLAINED, and clearly posted for all. It shouldn't be a headache to find it, or figure out who it is for.

It WAS a huge issue in the first place, to me. You may not have considered an issue, but I did!

Favoritism - I will always be against that. That's different from merit. It's much better to get something in fair competition with others, on your own merit, than just to be chosen arbitrarily for it, even though you really DO merit it.

"Convenient chronology?" I can only access that chronology I have access to. I invited anyone to add to it, or correct it.

Now tell me that we haven't made progress in this area, that no advances have been made, and that everything is the same as it always was.
