I am not kidding. The Internet is International and no one country can control it. I think the point being made is that content is hosted on servers that are physically present in a country, and that said country can and will control those servers. Using the current hot-topic of child porn, do you think the US government would hesitate to bust someone hosting that on an American server, even if some of the people viewing it were in an area with more lax anti-child-porn laws? |

I am not kidding. The Internet is International and no one country can control it. You may not be kidding, but you are also not right. It's true that enforcement is a difficult concept. That does not mean, however, that the internet is some vast lawless new nation born upon an unprepared world, and that we do, will, or should ignore all past laws and mores simply because the internet makes enforcement more difficult. _____________________

I don't think a country should be able to enforce their laws in another country. That being said, in SL they have TOS and those are the laws (rules) that are to be enforced in game no matter what country you are from. Granted some of the rules need to be updated or fine tuned, but thems the rules nonetheless.
