last time i did shrooms i spent 3 hours writing a self analytical stream of conciousness. somewhere in there i wrote how i never want to do shrooms again so i now refuse to touch the stuff.

haha, that sounds about right. :D It's been so long since the last time I saw shrooms I don't even remember the trip. I did LSD for the last time maybe 5-6 years ago and got chest pains and spent a few hours sitting outside waiting for the big one... it turned out to be a different kind of big one than I was expecting. Stupid mexican food. It was more fun after that. I was having a Carmageddon marathon with a few other people (damn I miss that game!). Those few hours of paranoia aren't something I'd care to repeat though. I still dream of stumbling across a mason jar full of orange sunshine microdot. All bets are off if that happens. *drool*

I resent the lumping of nicotine caffein together :P. I drink about a gallon of coffee a day but I wouldn't smoke to save my life.

I'd smoke to save my life.. but more importantly I don't smoke to save my life :p

Heh. I'm chuckling over the almost religious aversion to tobacco in the midst of pretty much all else goes.

Wow, there's some memories. :D

Between the velvet lies
There's a truth that's hard as steel
The vision never dies
Life's a never ending wheel

And now he looks like this:

No. Caffeine (trimethylxanthine) in coffee, Theobromine (dimethylxanthine) in cacao. Related chemical, but not identical. And if you eat cacao raw, you don't get jitters or weird side effects and it maintains its antioxidant properties as opposed to when it is decocted (and it tastes better than coffee and is just as bitter- if not more so). I buy it from Nature's First Law (rawfood.com #0970), who pay farmers in Ecuador 25% more than the going rate as well as higher salaries and education for the workers. :)
