This is one of the best threads I have seen in awhile. Funny how some of the most prominent, intellectually inclined people within this platform have used some of the most (By religious & governmental stand points) brain cell killing, make you go insane, "Reafer Madness" substances out there. Did I forget to mention "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds"? hehe

Fact is, in today's society the govenrment lies to you about the effects & your going to hell by religious standards. (Yes, even caffiene is considered damnation in some forms of religion. *cough* Damn Mormons *cough*) =)

Caffiene (coffee) is my #1 drug, followed by booze, and nicotine. I use nicotine less and less lately. (Went from a pack a day to less than a pack a week. Just lost the need for it.) ...Unless I'm drinking, then it ups my desire for nicotine.

I liked smoking pot, but it just started putting me to sleep, which is not the effect I want in a social setting, so I stopped about 10 years ago. Everything else I tried experimentally and never got 'into' thankfully. Doing LSD at a Dio concert (It was a long time ago!!) ended that experiment. Bad times!

Me? Umm... No thanks. With todays dirt cut crap & chemists cocktails, I'd rather not.

The "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" was only in reference to a classic Beatles song...

funny story, I actually tripped at a kenny loggins concert. My mom made me go with her at a schwanky theater concert. I smoked out and had a few cadillac margaritas and forgot i took a small half tab (i figured it would liven things up as kenny was doing his "new age" crap and I thought otherwise it might be a very boring night)

so the herb and the booze kicked in and I forgot I had even taken any acid. and it was such a small amount, it wasn't overwhelming at all.

i suddenly found myself thinking "man kenny loggins is intense" before I snapped out of it and realized I was indeed tripping

but it actually turned out to be fun, highlight of the night, for the encore I screamed out "caddyshack" and he played "i'm alright!"

but Dio? You musta been really high before you even got there!!!!!

the good real stuff is still out there, if you know where to look. i used to buy in bulk. i miss the days when i had a full vial at all times. everyone had fun when mulch was around

I still miss most of the drugs I used to do, but I've noticed the effects change a lot as you get older. Pot used to make me really creative and amused. Now it makes me cranky and tired. LSD and shrooms were inspiring and profound (until the next day) but if I did them now they'd probably just make me paranoid. I used to be a lush, but now three beers can give me a hangover. *cry* E is a lot of fun, except for feeling like shit for the next three days because you used up all your happy. I'm becoming all straight and boring but it's not my fault!

Yeah, it was a bad idea. A friend of mine showed up earlier that day with some Purple Microdot (good shit at the time) so we dropped some while standing in the long, long line to get into the concert. Little did I know that Dio had this huge stageshow with glowing pyramids, his battle-axe guitar and a glowing bullwhip. I mostly stood there and stared stupidly, but at least I didn't end up laying on the convention center steps crying like my friend did, as people stepped on her and a security guard tried to take off her pants. (And got beaten badly for it.)

Not a good place to be tripping.

Shrooms on the beach was much more relaxing.

i've been there and indeed, a wonderful thing, specially peaking at sunset (but boy does it get cold fast!!!)

ive spent many nights under the stars at sunset cliffs in san diego =)

I resent the lumping of nicotine caffein together . I drink about a gallon of coffee a day but I wouldn't smoke to save my life.

Pot, then good vodka or good beer/ale.

last time i did shrooms i spent 3 hours writing a self analytical stream of conciousness. somewhere in there i wrote how i never want to do shrooms again so i now refuse to touch the stuff.
