When a human being runs across a stick laying next to a knotted bag, fesstooned with a sign that says "do not poke with stick", what is the most probable outcome of this situation?  Hence the zen-like manner in which you must resist.  Of course people will poke the bag - humans are insatiably curious creatures. "What WILL happen if I poke this bag?" But its a foregone conclusion what will happen if you poke a troll. _____________________

Intentionally contrary? I believe everything I've said on here. For sure, my intention wasn't to say you were being dishonest. I was trying to point out that argumentative opinions are not welcomed by the forum moderators. I think the general strategy around that is to get a blog on blogger.com or something similar and to express any contrary ideas there. edit: /invalid_link.html a post with an intentionally contrary opinion written with the intent of inciting or getting argumentative opinions are strongly discouraged. |

The intent is to prevent people from being contrary for the sake of it and riling people up for no reason, not that you aren't supposed to have alternate points of view and express them in a reasoned and polite fashion. _____________________

This really is not a debating forum, if that is what you are looking for. It is a way to share general news and information about SL.
Obviously the odd argumentive opinion here and there are ok, but I believe there is an unspoken quota that you may have already reached. But, I am more of a lurker and not so much a poster, so do not quote me. |

This really is not a debating forum, if that is what you are looking for. It is a way to share general news and information about SL. Obviously the odd argumentive opinion here and there are ok, but I believe there is an unspoken quota that you may have already reached. But, I am more of a lurker and not so much a poster, so do not quote me. Haha, unspoken quota of arguments. I mostly post in the off topic category, which is for things that aren't related to SL. That includes current events, obviously. Other people start threads about current events, then I post in them. |
