We have an "intranet" set up at home (complete with a wiki for storing things like a directory of links), and our browser home pages are set to the intranet server's home page.

Yahoo!

I prefer to search with Google but their homepage is rather plain. The Yahoo! one has the major news stories and weather info plus access to my e-mail with them and the comics. And since I have the Google search bar on the browser (FireFox), I got alot of what I want right there.

Cause I voted "other," I figured I had better say what so....

http://news.bbc.co.uk/

The only news source in the world that comes close to actual news (in the original sense of the word "news";)

PS to Cid - Linking to an audio/video without saying it is one is pretty lame.

I have an HTML file on my hard drive that I created that lists links to all my favorite and often-accessed sites, and I use that as my home page.

I have to admit, Google as a homepage surprises me. I use Yahoo and have so many news feeds that even with dsl with 2.2 download speed it takes a few moments to load.

We have ours set to the Web site that serves our local communities. That way, we can keep up with all the fires, mudslides, road closures & accidents, mean restaurant reviews, reports of dead bears in the road, and so forth. Oh, and all the gossip and ruination of local businesses by anonymous badmouting. ;)

But heck, we're moving in a few weeks. Guess I'll make Google our homepage after that. Heh.

My home page is MSNBC.com so I can see the latest headlines when I log in. I can glance at them before going on to do other things.

"In the beginning, there was Google..." no, that can't be right. Former Yahoo! employees created Google. Hmm. A conundrum.

Nothing fancy or very interesting. A customized Yahoo page. With lots of news, from Politics to Movies to Strange news.. my 3 favorite (of those offered) comic strips, weather for 4 cities, a daily recipe, most emailed photos, word of the day, and my own links.
