What's the best pizza?

I must confess I am a piza purist. I must be from either NYC or Chicago and it must be pepperoni xtra cheese sausage and mushrooms. None of that pineapple and ham on a pizza. 2 things I know - there no crying in baseball and no ham and pineapple on real pizza.

The only exception might be the cajan pizza with shrimp and crawfish from 2 boots in the village. But hey it is from NYC :)

Also a pizza purist. Just sauce and cheese. Maybe pepperoni or sausage if the mood strikes. In eastern PA we have some pretty good NY-style pizza places, so I'm a spoiled pizza snob :p

And for goodness sake, pineapple does not belong on pizza! Fruit does not belong on Pizza! Good grief!


Tomatos belong on pizza. Tomatos are a fruit. And tomatos snuck in the pineapple with a fake ID, I think.

I usually like pepperoni, mushroom and extra cheese.
Next would be a good 4 or 5 cheese pizza, if it's done well.
Pizzas with a garlic white sauce, tomato and spinach are also good.
And Dominos steak-lovers pizza is yummy. Tastes like a cheesesteak.

Having spent my first five years of life in New York, I was always enamored of the New York-style crust. Those Chicago bitches, I thought, were full of crap.

But having sampled their delightful fare, I must say, Chicago-style deep-dish pizza is the best pizza. It's not right to compare New York to Chicago, though, since the former is portable and snacky while the latter is a sit-down meal you need to savor. Still, one is the king.
