The manual is more fuel efficient and fun to drive unless you're in stop-and-go traffic and then it's (literally) painful.
I didn't know they had anything BUT stop-and-go traffic in SF.

I didn't know they had anything BUT stop-and-go traffic in SF. SF has much less traffic congestion, for the most part, than most suburbs, in my experience. I've never found it bad, even with a manual. Parking is another issue. _____________________

I learned to drive when I was 12. Dad had a ford pickup with 3 on the tree.
That was fun. My last car had a 5 speed in it. Manual is much more fun and I feel better control over the car. For the ultimate 13 forward and 2 reverse gears attached to 500 HP Cat ![]() Rox |

I have to manually drive my car. It does not automatically drive itself.

Automatic.
I can't be moving no shifter, changing who knows how many gears. _____________________

I have an automatic, but would rather own a manual. Automatics seem sneaky to me, like they are just waiting to take over while you are driving. Manuals seem more trustworthy.
Oh, and since I live in an area where there is a chance of having to drive through water every winter, or wrecking off the road into a river, I'd rather have a manual. I don't like my power locks and windows. I *am* a bit scared of being trapped in the river in a sinking car and the damn power windows short out. I'd rather have plain old do it your self windows. But I do have one of those window buster things "just in case." My mother in law bought it, she's more paranoid than me. It also has a seat belt cutter at the opposite end "just in case." |

Just like creami, I have an automatic (02' Ford Explorer) but I would soooooo prefer a 5-speed. I miss my Nissan 240SX
(Had to trade it in so that I would have room for a carseat when I had my last child 4 years ago). I will own that car again someday, it won't be the same one sadly but any (good condition) nissan 240sx will do._____________________

Or one of us would crawl into that tiny ass space behind the seats and "sit." Car seats ruin everything!!! rofl. |

Just upgrade to this when it comes out. That does look sweet, however, I'm fond of older cars (pre-airbags) to be more precise. MJ _____________________
