my favorite buy pokemon ruby, its the 7 year old RED version but with new menus yay!!) I'm gonna have to stand up for Nintendo here... Yes, they make a lot of games over and over again, but they will still release new games with original ideas (yes, every once in a while, they actually DO!) The reason that so many have been produced, though, is because of advances with the systems--take Pokemon for instance. Red, Blue, Yellow--Original GB Gold, Silver, Crystal--GB Color Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Fire Red, Leaf Green--Advance They released a set to go on each new system. As for Fire Red and Leaf Green (that's not Ruby you were referring to, that was Fire Red) they included item holding, berries, etc. in addition to the new menus. It's also an update since it can link up to Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald--the older games' can't do this. It may be an old idea, but it's one that improves in each release. This is why they keep releasing new versions of games such as Zelda, Mario, and Pokemon. The reason that a lot of old games are being re-released in new formats is because there seems to be a retro movement going on in some circles (so Atari's and NES's are being played once more.) Simple has become good again. Thus, the re-release and new versions of games can be justified (somewhat, at least.) This does not work so well with movies. Remastering is okay, but only if there really needs to be a sequel should there be one, I say... It seems that a lot of the new releases were just to bring about more hype on some idea; either that, or Disney is scrambling for new writers with fresh ideas and have to deal out sequels until they find these elusive workers... I'm kinda surprised no one has mentioned Buena Vista as of yet. _____________________

Toot, Toot, Chugga, Chugga,
Big Red Car We'll travel near, We'll travel farrrrrrr ACK!!! I personally like Hot potato and Fruit Salad and the Wiggles. If you need to lose a few pounds, dancing along with the wiggles will help. The song, Can You Point Your Fingers And Do The Twist is a good one to get your heart pumping. Of course there is that bad side effect of having the song stuck in your head for the next week or so. |
