I just called my sister to clear this up.

She says I sound just like Ellen DeGeneres, and nothing like Fran Drescher and has no clue why I would say that except for the Brooklyn accent. :::shrug:::::

Unless you saw billys video and heard it, then well, you can't play!

Yah, I heard your voice on Billy's video. Actually, your RL voice is very close to the voice I hear in Jeska Linden's posts! I _knew_ you were her alt! :P

Clearly, I have no idea how I come across to others.

Nah, it's like when I visualize what the person behind the avie looks like, it almost always does not match.

But I guess I get the cues from grammar and spelling. And everytime I talk to you, you type with perfect grammar and spelling, and almost always use complete sentences. Plus you sometimes use the pronoun "one" e.g.

...which is atypical for Americans. In fact, it's hard for me to visualize ("Audibize?";) Fran Drescher saying the above sentence.

Do you always give everyone the correct natoinal accent knowing where they are located? I often still 'hear' many people in an English accent (tho diff regional accents), even when I know they're not English.

Hyperurbanism. Very typical dialect in certain parts of Brooklyn. I'm incredibly guilty of it. Also see NYPD -- New York Cops do it more than anyone.

Another way might be to take the bitter, cynical humor of George Carlin and Dennis Miller, and crank it up a notch.

And, yeah, I can see it m'self.

Wonder when the majority of crazy humans will figure out I'm a GUY!

I suppose I should start acting like a girl. Then people will KNOW I'm a guy.

I never thought of you as anything girly. I do think you might squawk though, or possibly trill.

Do I? Ooh I must listen to her sometime :) People have said I sound like Jenny Agutter. I can't say I really hear people speaking when I read their words, though. It's more like tasting, if that makes sense.

Makes sense to me! Deserves it's own thread!
I'd love to know what I taste like.

You "taste" like strawberries and cream to me.

BTW I was going to say Jenny Agutter, but feared it might date me.

Aimee has a high voice. It's not squeaky, but it's cutesy like a cheerleader and full of energy.

You nailed it. I actually made my own sound gestures so if you are ever around me you can hear what I really sound like :D

A cynic is but a frustrated idealist; it's why I fall into it m'self.

You mean from the "Young Ones"? That Rwick? :D All your BBC are ours. :D

I sound like Madeline Kahn as Lily Von Shtupp intoning the lyrics of The Beautiful South. :P

Oddly it seems 90% of the people I get to know are in New York. To make things stranger, half the females I have heard on skype and yahoo sound like Fran Drescher too. To make things worse I'm now learning people I thought didn't know each other that live in New York when I first met them are all turning out to know each other. This is not good for a paranoid person like me, oh well. Now even a person I don't know turning out to have the Fran Drescher connection. Forgive me if conspiracy theories get worked up later.

Anyway, this is what people sound like to me.

Hiro Queso and Taco have a mexican voice to me similar to that guy that says "plethora" in the movie "The Three Amigos".

Ulrika sounds like the scientist in "Back to the Future." I just picture her having poofy white Einstein hair running to and fro with all this knowledge in her head and wide eyes trying to blurt it all out in under 2 minutes.

Kendra sounds like Angelina Jolie to me.

Garnet Psaltry has an asian voice to me, because every woman I've met named Garnet has been an asian.

I agree Aimee has a cheerleader voice in my head.

Blaze Spinnaker has the voice of a kid I knew in High School that no one believed about anything but later I learned alot of what the kid had said was true.

Kevin and Kurgan have this southern preacher type voice to me.

Ellie has my accounting teacher's voice.

I really never hear people as a cartoon character, that would freak me out a bit.

I myself have a weird mix of a northern Chicago/New York accent, with a red neck South Carolina and hillbilly Missouri accent thrown in. In Washington everyone says I sound southern. In Missouri and South Carolina, everyone thinks I sound like I'm from Chicago. Go figure.
