Yeah I agree the parents should do a better job raising their children, but failing that....

wtf does a kid need to "play" with guns for even if fake. doesn't that just make the parent look even more stupid for allowing their kid to play with something thats not meant to take as a joke? same goes with swords & knives. you just don't buy them for kids. fake or not, they are not toys.


Your right, to an extent.

That's why from the time I was old enought to be trusted not to kill myself through ignorance I was taught proper care, handling, and use of guns, bows, knives, axes, and swords (Well, technicly speaking, machettes.... macheti?, but those are basicly a sword we started using for non-bloodspilling purposes).

When I demonstrated I had a proper respect for those, then I was allowed the toys - Under the proper terms, of course.

My children, should the event somehow ever occour, would be taught in exactly the same manner.
