I definitely think it's unethical when non-dragons playing as dragons in SL don't own up to not really being dragons, at least once it gets serious. I mean, maybe if you're just casual acquaintances, that's one thing, but if it goes any further, say something! It'll save a lot of hurt and confusion later on.

Just curious, how many of you are trying to make yourselves appear to be more intelligent and SL-important than you are in real life? What is the purpose really? Is there some real sort of possibility of sounding smarter than you really are or is it just the anonymity and speed of the Internet that implies to you that you can fake your ways through pointless discussions to successful solutions of problems that not only may not exist, but if they actually did, you wouldn't know enough of the specifics of the particulars to the problems being discussed to be viewed by real-world experts as having a single clue. Or, are some of you trading on some small modicum of alpha/beta status or minor commercial success so that you think others might know a little of who are and place a droplet of credibility in anything you say? Of those I've met, the self-important and sanctimonious amongst you hide behind psuedo logic and name-dropping like fish hide in murky waters. Anybody care to explain where this need for attention (aka attention-whoring need) comes from? |

I am not a part of any 'pack'. None of my friends on SL even read these forums, and I don't make it a point to show stuff I wrote here off to my friends. The only reason I even post is in hopes of someone getting a chuckle, or to be thought-provoking. I don't do it to get attention or anything, as I HATE being in the spotlight - I'd post anonymously if I could.  That said, I have this to say - you're probably the most ignorant person I've seen here... and I've have seen every example of ignornance that drives me nuts in the Real World on these forums. Note that I did not say you're not intelligent... you've proven that you are quite intelligent, actually. I also won't call you retarded, because so-called 'retarded' people often show WAY more insight than many 'intelligent' people do. On top of all that, everything you've posted the past few days only shows that your own insecurities are eating you alive. Get help. Seriously. Although you're probably already so lost in your own padding of self-worth you won't really read this, and only reply with yet another post that amounts to 'No, YOU'RE a retard! DUUUUUR-HUCK!'  Ta! p.s. I play what I guess I'd amount to 'changling dragon' on SL, as I have a human, fox, horse, and dragon avatar, each used about the same amount of time, with the only common factor beign that they all have dragon (bat?) wings. Does that mean I'm a fake dragon, or a fake changling, or just a fake, since 'changling' really implies an imposter fae child, not something that changes shape? |
