Would be nice if they just periodically told us WHAT they were trying to do about it, ya know?

Also, Pathfinder said (most recently it was Pathfinder) don't back out of the login queue (i.e., hit quit, or exit) if you are midway through it.

But, when it hangs at Contacting User Server for upwards of 10 minutes with no change, I start to wonder just whether or not it's even making the attempt anymore, or just idling there to frustrate me.

I've had a terrible time getting in tonite .. and when I've been in, the experience has been less than acceptable. Its frustrating to be inWorld, having problems and knowing that when you log out .. you will be who knows how long before you actually get in again.

Third night in a row for me... the couple of times I've actually gotten in did not last long... the minute I'd start cleaning out my inventory the game would crash. I was previously considering upgrading my account and tier, but now I'm considering leaving altogether.

Ya I can't get on either, been tring for 30 minutes now, just keep getting turfed back to the login screen and get the infamous 'something has gone wrong' message. SL has been flakey for me for a few days, really frustrating, as is the lack of communication from the Lindens as to what the problem is. A heavy load on the database is a lame excuse, especially since they have used it time and time again. When exactly will that be fixed?......... Also a heavy load on the login server does not explain the flakeyness of the grid as a whole, anyone that I have talked to in the lasy few days has the same issues as me.

Can't login either. Did the whole reinstall two step.

I don't consider this last "update" an update, as it's not working most of the time. :/

First its the 2-3 minute hang at 'Waiting for response', then the 1-2 minute at 'contacting user server' then the drop back to the login screen with no explanation message. Usually repeated 5-10 times to get in of an evening (note, this NEVER happens during the day).

I wouldn't mind so much, except for the fact EVERY TIME I TELEPORT, I end up in a featureless area with nothing in sight and have to relog...so back to the wait, wait, fail, retry endless loop. Tried contacting live help...this apparently isn't happening to anyone else ingame (BS!) and that its the fault of my internet connection (BS) the same connection that, after my last failure to reconnect, connected to World of Warcraft, Anarchy Online and Ultima Online without problems.

LL needs to get their act togeather, stop telling live help to play damage control, and admit that 1.6 hosed the game for many of us.

I am starting to get used to it going right back to the login page after being in "no responce" windows locked up mode lol... I love it once im there, but once I teleport, it borks it majorly then I have to log out and stare at a white window till it feels like being unlocked up... Sometimes it actually makes it to Contacting User Server, others its just Waiting for Responce...

I've had problems for the past 3 days logging in. I'm not the only one. Also the textures have been acting all funny when trying to apply them.
I'm afraid to build, because I think it'll all just go all wrong.
Oh well.
Joe's in game and wants me to go to an event he's at, but no matter how hard I try I can't get in. Been trying for over 30 minutes now.
Really annoys me to no end... I play other games, and never have this issue... and this is the game I pay the most money for!

Is this the queue being full doing this or what?

Im sure that they are aware of the issue and are fixing it at this time.

Yes it my be annoying and fustrating but these things happen.

If you just keep trying then you will get in.

I got in after about 5 attempts.
