Okay,.. I tried to log in after my post and it got frozen at the "May appear to be frozen" screen. I wandered off and about half an hour later I was in Second Life.
If anyone is as absentminded or can stand the patience,.. maybe it will work for you.

I just logged in some minutes ago... lemme check again. Yup, back in in about a minute. Tad longer than usual... who's still havin' problems? OHHH HERE'S SOMETHING TO SPIN!!! Download 1.7 Preview @ http://secondlife.com/preview mmmkay and see if you can get into that grid. It's just a test, but doing a test for a test... HOW APPROPRIATE!

If you're still having problems, to really help, we'll need a bit more information than the fact that you're still having trouble. If you can, reply and let us know what part of the login process isn't working, and most of all, whether or not you've tried the steps on this page: http://secondlife.com/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=TechLoginIssues

From: Corialote Dougall I also reinstalled the client thinking i was me.
Still can't log in :/ I have been able to log in sometimes, but.... Exact same problem over last few days. Freezing at log-in when it hasn't happened for months previously. Usualy a second or third try does the trick though.
