this annoying login queue doesn't even help the lag if you manage to get in, all its done is cause us a headache! They should just remove it and try to do something that works.

This is getting to be a real problem. Can't this be fixed?

I don't wanna speculate too much but I too am frustrated by the login problems, and think it may be because of probs not totally within Linden Lab's control, but involving external hosting providers and the like as well. (There were known problems some weeks ago.) To use an analogy, balls are getting dropped in what is a rather elaborate juggling act.

Oh dang, there I go :( -- another broken TP.

They'll be getting cut off in a minute if this carries on.

try to restart your computer for the clock issue, sometimes sl sets back your computer clock or vice versa

Every day at this time we start seeing log-in queues as the time of what we call 'peak concurrency' approaches. We've made changes to improve the log-in problems which will be in 1.6 later this week. Until then, we ask for your patience in waiting for the log-in to go through.

If you close the window to start over, the system thinks you're still there. Please just wait until either you're in, or you're returned to the log-in screen. Then try again. I know it's really frustrating, but hopefully it will only be a problem for a few more days.

let us hope so this is becoming very poor indeed, same thing every day hours of waiting around and unable to get in game should be your most important priority

The most important thing is: Never quit SL during the "Entering Login Queue", no matter how much it looks like it has crashed. (Well, maybe if it takes an hour or some such...) If you do quit during Login Queue, you can make everyone take longer.

I've been sticking quite a lot; somtimes the task manager (win2k) says SL is running ok, in which case i go make a cup of tea, but sometimes it says SL has halted....

That's fine. Second Life is responding, it's just busy waiting to log in. In most cases you'll get in eventually.

I've actually had the exact same problem logging into World of Warcraft the last few days. ;^)
