Cant login!!

Was logged in sl and when i tried changing clothes my new clothing wouldnt rez. Wasnt able to put on any attachments either. So i logged and now when i try to log back in it freezes awhile n then says login failed. Any solutions?

same thing happend to me . i cant get back on either . and the grid status says its open .

I also can't log in. I think I just lost a complex script I was working on as returned it to my inventory but it never showed up.. so I tried relogging and now I'm locked out of the game. I also tried a second computer.

the grid did go down for a few minutes before .. they might be having a problem right now . im sure it will back up soon.

Yay! SL offline... thought it been too stable the last couple days. What incompetent boobs. For this kind of service they keep raising tier?

You know, no one's forcing you to play Second Life. Perhaps you should be a little more patient with Linden Labs. At least they're working on fixing the problems that crop up which is more than can be said for most gaming companies.

Not only I can't logon but even the website is slow to browse for me.

It's been like this for years. Patients only lasts so long. But like you said they are the only ones out right now.
:edit: Oh my bad. You didn't say that but I was thinking it. Same point either way I guess. It's forcing me to "play" because no others exist. It's not to bad if its just a game for a person but some people make good money on here. And it gets old real fast when they get work disrupted.

Looking at the blog, they have a power outage and that is causing the problems.

Have they not heard of generators??

According to http://blog.secondlife.com, there've been power outage issues that are apparently causing the grid problems.

I remember when SL crashed for a day due to a stupid tree that fell near their servers.
They have no power backup at all.
Even I have backups for my rendering farm.
It's just sad. lol

I Can login at the SL Site, but on the program it's impossible. I've tried downloading again the software for Mac and the problem persists.

Have you any idea how much power the average server machine draws? Multiple that exponentially (given the huge number of servers that LL must use) and you've got something that we in the industry call "financially inviable".

You know what it means right? It won't change anything if you reinstall SL....
