I know.. where IS mark.. where is any linden... GAH i can't get in game and bug them and now i can't bug them here :( I WANT MY SL BACK

It was an hour and thirty minutes between Mark asking for your log and you posting it.

It's been only thirty minutes since you posted your log.

They can't sit around all day and hit refresh on a forum thread every five minutes, unless they're pretty sure that you're going to be posting the required information in the next five minutes. Give them time to come back, they do have jobs to do.

Then again, they may have already found the problem and are working on a solution. You never know. If they have, posting here about it won't get you in any faster.

Willow,

your log indicates that Second Life is unable to transmit UDP on port 12036 to userserver.agni.lindenlab.com. This is almost always a firewall issue, either involving software on your PC, a hardware firewall on your internet connection, or a problem with your ISP. It is probably not related to the 1.5.6 release as such.

However, if you have a personal firewall of some kind, you may have previously allowed connections to the old userserver IP specifically, which is why it's stopped working now.

I'd start there.

not sure if your prob is related but i just started getting the same problem where i stopped at the verifying protocol message (I was also unable to get to the forums page and the main web site and could not ping secondlife.com... so not sure if it was the same problem...)

tried everything from clearing cache, stopping / starting / repairing my network connections and nothing worked... even rebooted my computer...

i then proceeded to turn off my network HUB and my cable modem for about 10 seconds... turned them back on and VOILA... i can get back in...

maybe try that?

during my downtime from secondlife I was able to get to other websites...

of course i wasn't down long either and could have been coincidence that i got back in after doing that with my HUB and cable modem
