Money transactions have been next to impossible for the last 2 days. I am the GM of a very large casino, and our tables and money transfers are not going through at all. I'm not sure how much SL knows about the casino biz, but it lives and dies on cash changing hands. Also, Teleporting has been next to impossible. Once I get into a sim...I seem stuck there for a while. SL just can't handle all the workload that the free accounts have put on them.

Its not so much free accounts, its how they act.. Those dumb freebie weapons should be removed from the game, most new players go straight to them and love lagging up sims. Camping chairs, well- Owners of land are first to moan if their sim goes down, I can understand that fully but some are the people that invite the "free accounts" to their land, offer them 1L$ every 10mins to stay there, just so they have higher hits, then cry "damn freebie accounts, I have a business to run and cant log in" Scripted and high prim items- Think that explains itself. LL openening the door mainstream before SL was ready- That much is obvious, but SL is still in testing; Bad business move or great move, either way its getting SL and LL on the map (Not sure I'd want the press it's getting atm tbh) I can think of loads of other things that probably don't help, like people using AKA's etc but cant be bothered to type it

From: Laurana Newell it's like when you build a VERY TALL building and still making it taller....with crappy materials...what does it do after some time? it crumbles down because you only wanted to make it taller and taller, but using crappy materials... very good metaphor, exactly what i think... except of the "crappy material", cuz if u can make it better tell CO ;0) i'd rather say, it started as an funny experiment and soon become IMPOSSIBLE to stop! think about that, they would never take it down.. even if the problems get over their heads, as we are witnessing it righ now.. my2ct

Still no login
02-12-2007 14:58
I am getting fed up: the error-messages vary and all my friends are inworld and can login and out as they wish? (at least the "friends online" list varies every cpl of minutes) I can try whatsoever login-locations and nothing works. And this stupit blog just refers to inventory problems. That's a bad joke.

After scores of attempts at logging in over the last six hours, and watching the number in-game rise from about 20K to 29K, I still can not log in. I have cleared cache & re-installed the client but to no avail. I have tried logging straight in 'Plum', 'Hale' and other low-population sims. Cannot log in using an alt either. An email & phone call to Support has not yet produced any response.
Similar situation here as described by Nanda. One of three error messages appears during the "Logging in. SL may appear frozen..." phase: 1) "...Despite our best efforts...." 2) "...login failed. Wait five mins..." 3) "...can not connect to secure server..."
From 'My Account' I can see my friends are on-line and I suppose the thing I don't understand is why 26.6K are in-world but others can not log in at all. Is there any particular reason for this or is it just "the luck of the draw"...?

A lot of the people who are showing up as being online, actually aren't. For example I'm apparantly online - but it won't lot me in. It just hangs during the logging in process then gives me the very technical and specific message "Despite our best efforts, something has gone wrong."

There's, uh, probably a lot of things you didn't know about lindens. Another, another interesting, uh, lindenism, uh, there are only three jobs available to a linden. The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

Snotty region won't shake my hand, and refuses packets of all kinds, found or not. Btw, love the double screen, in which neither does what it's supposed to. Good times.
