Ok so it keeps saying I need to download the update..
I do..
but it keeps doing it even though I already downloaded it...and its 1.10.4 i thought the new update is 1.10.5?
ANY HELP OF WHAT I SHOULD DO?

You'd think it'd be the *.5 version, seeing as the Lindens are logging in and so they could make it available so we could get it before they open the grid.

The switch has been flipped requiring an upgrade in order to log on, but the new client software hasn't been moved into the upgrade directory. Therefore, the system is still upgrading you to the version currently in the Upgrade location, that is the last version. Be patient. Give it time. Go have coffee, hug your kids, something. When you come back, the software should be in the right location, and you can download it and live a happy life again, saved from the brink of disaster you are peering over now.

Well I downloaded the update, the status page says the grid is open, but when I try to log in it sits there and spins its wheels. Anyone else having problems logging in?

Yes grid is up. Yes latest version can be downloaded.
YES we ALL have troubles logging in, it TAKES MANY TIMEs when there is an update, USUAL. lol You people *slapslap* Anyhoo, if your auto-update is being mean, I suggest you do like I always do, unsinstall SL, download latest version from website, and reinstall. G'luck!! _____________________

updated, installed, and washed behind the ears... been sitting and spinning for about 5 minutes.. on the "logging in" screen. Wewt! gotta love those updates! I know I know, probably a very long line to get into the clubhouse and only one door... go figure

When I checked on status, it says the grid is currently restricted to Lindens -- presumably they're test-driving the update, since there are 513 people on SL right now, according to the main page. |
