I was getting that earlier so I finally gave up. Apparently when you log out SL takes possession of your PC for awhile and you can't log in again. I have tried to explain that to LL in non-technical terms but they don't seem to get it. Ever since 1.7 SL has eaten up more and more of my computer's resources but that is only a "end users problem" and not a real concern.

Heya Sens, sounds like some of what's mentioned here: I've had similar experiences myself... if it happens again, please post the region you were in at the time when logging out, and if anyone gets stalled for a particularly long time, please email me (torley@lindenlab.com) so I can check with the gridmonkey--would not want you left out of Second Life, after all! Moved this to Technical Issues so we can keep a better eye on it too!

I've had that happen to me when I try to log in right after logging out (like in a sim crash). I've found waiting 20 - 30 seconds and the server times out you allowing you back in.

A friend of mine was having trouble logging the other night, and finally gave up and went to bed. An hour later, the wwebsite's friends online feature still showed her as logged in.
About an hour after that, the asset server had problems, and the grid was closed and taken down, and I believe she was still showed as logged in.

It happens to me after I crash in sl (which has become the 'normal' way of logging out of sl unfortunately). Doesn't seem to be any pattern to how long I have wait before starting up sl again. The requestor still waits for me, see it 3 - 6 times before I'm finally getting logged in. Have never experienced being locked out of sl as long as Sensual though - max 2 - 4 mins.
I seldom see it when I have logged out on purpose (not crashed).
