Support constantly sleeping????

Days ago I reported that I can not log in at all anymore. Always I get the message "Login failed. Unable to complete transform: "Copy Inventory to new database." Please contact [email]support@secondlife.com[/email]"
I contacted the support 2 times now and all I get is a neat autoreply. WTF is going on there? I just bought new Lindens and now I can not log in anymore to get what I payed for??? I don't even get to know that someone is working on the problem!

If it's an urgent matter, your best bet is to call the 1-800 number and try to speak with a person. Even in the best of times, I haven't had much luck with emailing support.

I had the same problem with the same error message. Email didnt work. Calling support by phone (cost me a lot of money as I had to call the normal phone number in the US from germany) they fixed the problem. But I must say, the phone support is not much better, took me about 10 calls waiting for 10 minutes each in the waiting loop until I got someone from the support on the phone. I think Linden won't pay my phone bill end of month .....

Sorry you were having troubles. It would seem you had problems around the same time as many others yesterday. When you can't get in world, do not fear; check the blog. Look at this latest blog post. Sometimes I can't get in world during isolated incidents. Other times I will find out lots of other people are having problems also. Things seemed ok last night. Try again today.

I can only assume the same goes for the billing? Or do they respond a bit quicker?

My account is in a "downgrading to basic" status, which I cant seem to cancel and set it back to premium account. I cancelled it after 2 months of failing to find some first land, now when I do find land, I cant get back to a full account.I fear Im going to miss it.

Come on Linden, I want to pay you money ;)

Yeah, I read the blog already yesterday and I read about "solved login problems" but that seem to mean nothing to my problem as I still have that error (checked it 2 minutes ago). And I still have no answer from the support - I got an answer from the billing though that my L$ buying was successful LOL thank you that you took my money but are not able to let me LOGG IN AGAIN!

What is that damn emailform for? What is this damn [email]support@secondlife.com[/email] for? What is THIS forum for when no one from the Lindens support (do they have one at all?) reads it and if I have to pay alot of money to call a phoneloop from germany to have someone reacting?

Is there SOMEONE at the LindenLabs who knows how to run an ecommerce business???

I think they are just a victim of their own success to a degree, their customer base has expanded far quicker than their support can adapt and grow to meet it. Anything thats not automatic takes a long time I guess.

Well Aaron, have you tried clearing your cache?

Login Screen > Preferences button > Network Tab > Clear Cache > Close SL > Reopen it

You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling SL.

Might it be that the problem is just not on my side but on Linden's?

But hey, yes bring voicechat and other new features in... better than solving the existing issues. Or maybe Linden should be sold to Microsoft, they might not know how to program better but at least they got a working support WORLDWIDE!

Edit: And if the reason is that they got more customers than they can handle... What about taking the MONEY they got from me and others and hire some real programmers, admins and a working supportcenter instead of enjoying the sun buzzing on their lazy heads?

Poor Aaron. Can you log in an alt? Try IMing your name with your alt if you can. Sometimes the system needs some jostling to realize you are not online.

Stealing a new alt costs nothing. People only get one free account. You're supposed to pay for alts. However, many people don't.

If Linden Labs ever gets around to enforcing that policy, people could lose all of their accounts for being dishonest.

I noticed in the blog post that one land seller mentioned that he has lots of free alts. I wonder if LL will go after him? But that's another issue entirely.

I hope so, because I have exactly the same problem as yours Aaron :(

I even try to pray ... nothing, I CANNOT LOG IN !!!! :s

I don't need any faster database by the way, can somebody let my inventory in the previous slow one ? ;)

I suspect they've grown so fast, that they don' t have the infrastructure to handle this world. I hope they get their butts in gear and don't allow SL to got down the drain due to management incompetence!
