This problem has me baffled. I have a certain top that came in a short (undershirt) and long (jacket) version. I had no problems with either up till now. I was putting the long version on recently, at about the time of the most recent round of bugs/crashes... it showed as worn but was invisible. Taking it off and putting it on again was no help. (The top is no mod, so I can't try editing it and not saving the changes.)

After the crash, I tried the same top again. Now, only the bottom part of the jacket version of the top shows. When I'm in edit, the whole thing appears okay, but as soon as I close appearance mode, the top part disappears.

Tonight I thought, fine, the top part was messed up in the crash/asset problem somehow. I went to buy a new copy-- and here's the wierd part, I'm having the exact same problem with the brand new jacket version. In edit, the whole thing appears fine; when I close it, the top part disappears.

How could this be happening with an item I just bought, which I bought before with no problems? Is this a bug other people have noticed? Is it possible the version that's for sale in the shop is messed up now? I'm just wondering, should I report it as a bug, alert the seller, or both?

It's possible you have a corrupted copy of the top half texture in your cache.

There is also something weird about the clothing meshes lately that LL has changed but didn't announce to anyone. Several problems have come up with Meshes or textures on meshes not showing properly or being invisible. This might have nothing to do with your problem or it might be the same thing.

In a shameless attempt to bump my own problem I posted about it over here:

Something much more similar to your problem seems to be going on over here:

This is another one of those things where they changed something really basic, but did not announce the change nor ask anyone if they thought it was a good idea before they did it.
