"Login failed."

Um...hi. It's been giving me a log-in failed message for the past 15-20 minutes. As well, the client's been doing this to my friend, Yuki Mahfouz. Any thoughts or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

[/edit] Realizing I haven't elaborated - it's saying I can't log in on this computer and if I feel this is an error to email support. I've done so. Still, any help in the interim would be wonderful.

I've just gotten the same message as well when I tried to login which is quite odd since I'm the only user on my system and I know I've never had any encounters with LL security.

Yeah, I've never had any problems with LL security, myself. If you're being affected, though - I wonder how many others are being affected. Thanks for responding!

Heh... join the club. I"m in a cranky mood because i'm in the same boat you guys are, and here i thought it was my fault modem, but apparantly not. that's one relief. doesn't make me any happier that I can not get back in when i was in game about 25 minutes ago..

Same problem when I try to log in, although it did work quite well few hours ago.

~laughs~ yuh, i'm telling you.. mine was a matter of minutes. I seriously thought it was a problem between my modem when it got disconnected and the game until my SL partner told me others were posting the issue >.<

*add-in* I actually have alts, and i do still get the same "cannot access fro mthis computer" error message for all my alts, regardless.

*mumbles something about restarting PC, reinstalling DSL Software and reinstalling Second Life before finding the forum post*

Yes, I get the 'Your computer cannot connect to Second life' message...it just appeared out of the blue...

If you're getting the "Login failed. Second Life cannot be accessed from this computer." message then it's definitely on SL's end. I do believe that's their hardware ban message which leads back to my earlier comment about never having any encounters with LL security so why we're all getting this message now remains a mystery.

I am getting the same message , you can not access secondlife on this computer, i have never had any problems with sl ever, i don't understand this and hope they fix it soon.

i believe the beta grid is up and running, and to my knowledge everyone experiencing the problem is in good standing account wise. it's jsut major funked out glitch that needs a Linden to look at it... but good luck finding one awake at11 PM at night that works on the programming. After all, even Lindens need sleep, even if we don't ~shrugs~

I'm also getting this message and it makes no sense...

The LL knowledgebase entry for this basicly boils down to "you've been naughty and got spanked for it" ... yet I never did anything in violation of the ToS.

So these "bans" seem to be somewhat random.

Same here , i was online in Sl and got disconnected suddenly with the message the sim is shutting down (perhaps 15 min ago) without previous message.

I'm also getting the "Cannot access Second Life from this computer", have only just reactivated my account, never had any problems with security.

It's good to see that at least I'm not the only one.

Well I'm finally able to login again so I hope it's fixed. Anyone else tried recently?

I am able to log in now also.
It does make one wonder though, if it is dangerous to be in groups that contain members you do not personally know. I am in many groups, some of them since beta. What if a griefer joined any one of them and did something bad enough to get that whole group banned?
