I do this just because. I know that its not the lindens falt. Well wait... It somtimes can.. oh let me think agoin... If they scripted there client side work loads on there servers then they would have to shut down to update or anything

ok what i meant by that is if they programed there client side programs so that they could accept the live stream of files then they wouldent have to shut down to change stuff in the server side it self.

Uhm.... ok Yes they would. The server sims have to be upgraded as well as the client. After upgrading the servers need to be rebooted then tested. This all can't be done live it would be foolish. If there was a problem there'd be so many people complaining it wouldn't be worth it. Plus you could not correct the problem live anyway. /worked on server farms before //been doing it awhile _____________________

It's good to know we are on a the brink of more new features like built in web browsing for 1.7 while we still have the same old problems from 1.5. Hooray for new features! (Sorry needed to vent, and being impatient.) (sigh)

No ETA. Things like database failures take LL by surprise and having experience in this there's no way to make a definitive ETA.
