Ok we all have had this happen but here we go again BAM I’m sorry but second life is closed for all login due to maintenance! Ok lets start a forum ice cream social!

Ya so what is up? I crash and then try to log back on and it says SL is down only admin can log in or something...yet people on my list are still on.

they do this all the time... probably another asset server melt down

Bah...was in the middle of an event at our club, and we crashed...we logged back in and we're in a new sim (woohoo it had a mall)...then we crash again, hardcore, and can't get back in...at first I got "login failed" then I got something to do with my connection, then I got the maintanence thing, and now I'm sulking cause I wanted to be ingame for once xD

I say they should allow us to run our own sims on our home servers. Mine woud nenver go down like this

I love reading these threads after SL goes down for one reason or another. No one can have patience so they focus all of their aggression on the Linden's.

Maybe it wasn't their fault. Maybe the DNS server for the login server went down. Sometimes that has to do with their internet provider. Not LL themselves.

Give them a break, it's not like they are unplugging and plugging the login server just to see how many people get angry on the forums.

And you wouldn't have a server farm either. How does one computer match a room full of interlinked servers?

I was in the middle of working with a bride on a custom dress I made her - and we both had rez issues suddenly and decided to relog...

Oh why Oh why did i try to relog - now Im screwed and all my friends are still on

any word, Lindens on how long the maintenance will be?

I do this just because. I know that its not the lindens falt. Well wait... It somtimes can.. oh let me think again... If they scripted there client side work loads on there servers right then they wouldent have to shut down to update or anything
