LOL , u know i find it funny ....i been playing SL for well over a yr, and this happens alot. Really people there is no point in getting mad or frustrated....it will be fixed..eventually. If u cant find something else to preoccupy your time, then maybe u need an intervention for SL or something. Make a coffee, have lunch....something. Your life will not end, i swear!!!! Welcome to your secondlife, get used to this kinda crap! As for there being 1000 ppl already online...they are lucky...u are not. Deal with it lol. Your turn will come

I have a Mac, it stops at "textures"===bleh bleh bleh

well i guess he 'good' news is that with every new attempt to log in being stuck at textures, the blue bar is further and further along (joy)

I'm at 3/4 and about 20 login attempts - so there IS a light at the end of the blue-bar tunnel! heh

The most annoying thing is the generic "check your clock/firewall" message. If the grid still has bugs...PLEASE TELL US SO WE DON'T ACT LIKE CHIMPS ON CRACK TRYING TO LOGIN EVERY 10 SECONDS TILL OUR FINGERS BLEED

im starting to wonder if lindens is part of SOE.....rofl its fustrateing yes and prolly most of it comes from thoes inpatient ppl that spam the login server......QUIT IT!!!! your makeing this hard for everyone just chill and give it time to correct its self if it wont let you in the 3rd time it wont let you in the 3 mill time you try

They should add reboot to that. It's my favorite! And how can you retry every 10 seconds? Takes me a minute minimum.

Ok I have uninstaled, reinstalled, rebooted then totaly shut down and restarted, updated my vid card and every other dang thing I could update hell I even rebooted my freaking router. C'mon LL this isnt an issue with our PC's lets get this fixed.

Does anyone know what the problem is, like can anyone ask one of their friends online on another messenger, see if maybe LL is giving them the little drop down box at the top?!

Same here, it's frustrating. plus when I do get in, SL freezes and and there has been a lot of packet loss due to this traffic jam up.

I had the unexpected issue problem, followed by check your clock, but then I was asked to check the clock when having a problem with MSN so I think its just a standard question when the program has no idea why it doesn't work.

But because I am a member of SLA persistance paid off and it let me log in!!! So just adding my voice to those who couldn't get in to make LL aware this problem is wide spread.

been sat here since i got home at 7.45pmgmt, trying to log in approx every 5 minutes, ..its now 10.10pm.. 2hrs and 25 minutes later, and 29 login attempts later...still no luck.....was supposed to be hosting a big nightclub event at my club at 8pm.... well stuffed that idea didnt it!

any one else had any luck so far?

I got "Fritz Linden" on the phone and he said no one can log on at the moment. Perhaps they should change the grid page to reflect SOMETHING about the matter?

This right here is why there should be updates on what's going on in a timely fashion. How much time do you think this person took to do all this? Let's say an hour. ONE HOUR of doing stuff that isn't going to fix any issue that's going on right now. This person is relying on the information that's given to them and following through for UNNECESSARY added steps.

Where's the empathy for all the OTHERS that have probably done the exact same thing.

(shakes head slowly) absolutely pitiful.

Update the stupid login window to simply state that the login server is BUSY and that no need to go through what this person did is necessary for petes sake.
