I spend more per month on things I don't even remember buying, so what I spend on SL is not a huge issue... I don't care about a refund.
I'm just anxious to have things work reliably again, and after reading the Linden's more comprehensive explanation in the forum tonight, I'm feeling more confident that they will resolve things. I'm excercisng more patience right now, playing when I get lucky and doing something else when I can't log in.

Why are you? The problem is that SL is growing faster than they expected. The solution is to spend a LOT OF TIME rewriting the ENTIRE BACKEND of the system so that you and your friends can continue being blingy and dancy and bandwidthy.
It takes TIME. and EFFORT. And usually people work better when there aren't 400 angry, ignorant people threatening all sorts of verbal and physical attacks on you and your family.
People can do it in a more polite manner than they are doing now. A simple, concise, polite, non-condescending letter would get better mileage than "OMFGWTFBBQ FIX IT OR I QUITZOR!!!!!!!11111111111111111234978" on a public forum.
No, because if you're stupid enough to put water in your tank to begin with, maybe the gas station isn't the problem... you can't smell the gas fumes when you take the nozzle off the hook?
Putting water in your tank is a much more serious situation than not being able to log into an entertainment medium.
Perhaps, but I wouldn't be yelling at them, demanding some sort of compensation, blaming them for all available problems, and so on.
No, I'd probably laugh, because "try a different fuel grade" is a REALLY great response to "I filled my gas tank with water."
Patience in all things.
LF To all the members of the Star Chamber No where in the release notes for the repair tommorow, is there any mention of a repair for the Log In. Its not there. not at all.

I’ve never really liked these things like SL, they generate too much bull shit, but I still pop on them now and then to see if things change.
I believe in general if a person wants to complain they paid for the right to do just that ££$££, this is not a free prevlage we have here, we pay for this dumb thing.
Sadly I do not think the majority of people’s frustrations, and disappointment is directly related to just the bugs in SL, its SL as a whole, and these bugs are the trimmings on the cake, the cork on the bottle.
What needs to be done, is a damn serious look on SL community as a whole, and actually see why people are not truly happy.
I can pin point a few areas in SL world, that have a negative effect on people as a whole over time, but I just cannot be arsed to discus it, its so damn obvious I shouldn’t need too, and ill only get some bull shit, big headed attitude back about it.
I don’t normally talk this fluidly, but it fits in with SL's feel.
Anyway, that’s my rant..

The bottom line here is money. Money that we pay/month to play at least some of us. Some of us pay more than others. But even if you are paying just the $10 a month fee you should get what you pay for. on the other technical difficulties are bound to arise. I believe that it would be a good idea to offer some sort of compensation to the problem if not real money then maybe in $L. It won't come out of anyone's pocket if you give it in $L The ranting and raving won't really get you anywhere and I've done my fair share of it as well. Oh well who really cares what i think anyway lol.

half of you are curssing the lindens half of you are defending them like they are your children...i believe a little forward thinking could have kept this from happening...and as to someone saying the cable and satalite companies dont compensate for loss of service i beg to differ if you demand it they do!
im annoyed like everyone else who cant log but i wont curse anyone out seeing as how im not one of the people who are paying real money for land fees, but if i were i would be lets say a bit hot under the collar and demanding compensation.
so this fix seems not to have fixed anything seeing as the highest count of people in world i have seen is 356 today *sigh*
and for you all you are defending the lindens dont bother attacking my post because i probably will never find it in the sea of posts lol

My point is, everyone on this thread is either frothing at the mouth for monetary compensation, or for a linden to crawl on their hands and knees and kiss the customer's ass. I won't stand for it. It is true LL needs to be made aware of the problems with its game, especially when its something as huge as this login problem. But it does nobody any good to whine in pointless and just downright annoying threads. Write a nice polite post saying you are having problems. Also as has been said LL is not a mega-corperation, they are doing the best they can on a tight budget. They tried to make something great and they did, give them a break its nobodies fault, they had no way of knowing it would be so popular. Personally whiners would make me want to stop giving them the service at all

You know ive been reaing these forums occasionally when i come here searching for anwers to SL problems and have noticed this: 1.Someone or some people become angered about something or someone in SL (usually rightfully so). 2. They are so upset that they submit a forum to vent their anger in a civilized way.
3. People with the opposite view point get so enraged and intolerant of anothers view point and instead of submitting their viewpoint in a reply forum, they submit a thread to complain about the original negative thread that they say doesnt belong in the forums.
Is it their ego that they feel has been bruised? Is it that they are the ones that are just holding too much importance to SL in their lives? Or are they just intolerant and incapable of seeing others viewpoints?
I dont know what their reason are , but i wish people would understand that the forums are designed JUST FOR THAT! To openly discuss/debate problems, topics,relating to a thread. I know when i see something i dont like i reply with my view not openly attack the sender personally or complain they are being negative.
